Classic lines

Ed ''and there armed''

soap ''armed! armed with what?''

Ed ''er bad breath, colourful language, feather duster what do think they'll be with armed? guns you tit

Great film because it was much off the cuff

and a character called Plank as well

I feel like digging the film out of the collection and giving it a viewing this evening
Statski, you know it!

Another quality line is when Dog tells the boys they had better watch out: "I'll find ya, I'll find ya"

"Alright sweetheart, it's not hide and seek"

Lock Stock and Snatch both rule!

Has anyone seen Gangster No. 1 with Paul Bettany (I think thats his name he starred in Wimbledon!) that is a mental film and quite nasty at times.

The Lavender Hill mob
Got to be Bob Hoskins performance in the long good friday, brilliant line in the film when he finds his gay pal dead in a spa bath and gets rid of the body in an ice cream van " Thats fecking great that is, going out like a rasberry ripple" classic line!

Ahem, as a fan of "Withnail & I" I have to suggest otherwise.
I f%&king love that film,

"Monty, you indescribable c%&t!"

What about "Bent law can be tolerated for as long as it's lubricated but you, Parky my old son, have most definitely become parched" - that's pure gold that is.

I love how Shand is painted as pretty much your typical, lovable East End rogue with a heart of gold (apart from the scene with Errol the Ponce perhaps) for most of the film. It makes the meat freezer scene (where he first starts to turn) and the violent showdown with Geoff all the more chilling.

Another Long Good Friday classic line...

"A sleeping partner's one thing...but you two are in a f%&king coma!"

Love Honour & Obey...

Love the....

Arab Sheiks with viagra
Fat Alan the karate Kid getting stabbed in the guts
The shoot out where no f%&ker gets shot - "Fix bayonets"
Enter the f%&king dragon
Avenues & Alleyways
Fat Alan getting fed dog food
The two doormen discussing impotence "I think I broke the bone in my ****!"

Great stuff...if you havent seen it - check it out!

Not sure if it qualifies as a proper 'gangster' film, but Dead Man's Shoes is absolutely quality. I saw it for the first time tonight on Film4 and was blown away by it. Brilliant film that I would highly recomend.

Got to be Sexy Beast. Ray Winstone is one of those rare actors that IMO has never put in a bad performance in any of the films he's made, no matter how typecast he's been (Morgan Freeman being another) One

Denise van Outen advising Kathy Burke that speaking italian spices up the sex life, cue KB hanging out the window beeing seen to shouting "spaghetti Bolognaise" .....

The dog food bit was hysterical

Just remembered another film with Ray Winstone and Cathy Burke, Nil by mouth, fantastic film! Got to say one of my worst film ever did star Ray Winstone...King Arthur, appalling!

Sexy Beast ...Forget Ray Winstone's performance..
Ben Kingsley's character Don is terrifying and is genuinely unnerving to watch.
