Well i told you weeks ago he was a racist bigot and i was vilified for saying it and was even called a leftie by some people on this board.
Well in today's News of The World, it has been revealed that HE, himself has admitted that he IS a racist in his own pre-recorded epitaph despite denying it during his lifetime! Surely this level of deceipt is the lowest you can get. He boasts "I don't like Asians, F***ing blacks, Chinks, Australians".

Now i don't mind critisism where it's due but surely this proves my point!

According to the article in the NOTW, these revelations will be broadcast on Thursday on Channel 4. It was Manning's parting shot to this world.

If anything racist, sick or rude makes you laugh, then its ok by me. Just don't do it in front of those it may offend.

I'm still thinking about his programme tonight, B M From Beyond The Grave.

It has to be one of the strangest programmes I've seen in a long time. I've always taken the view that if something funny I will laugh regardless of taste, but thats me. Most of what I saw tonight was old footage, but the concept of the programme, was novel, if not original. It had all the potential to be funny, as well as sad (in the death sense), but it missed a trick. No second chances to re-do it, but even in his last year, he still had good & funny ideas.

I still don't find him overly funny, but I admire him for sticking to his beliefs, right or wrong, for those years that he got slagged off for them.

A strange programme, but what did others think?

I only saw the actual funeral bit in the church whilst surfing to avoid adverts.. very wierd with the obviously superimposed, obviously ill Bernard looking round to smile to the camera.. A bit disconcerting to be honest.. (that bit anyway)

I watched last night's programme and i gotta say that it showed me nothing to change my views on him. No matter if you found him offensive or funny, he didn't give a F*** and he was quick enough to tell you so. He was completely disrespectful to everyone, even his paying public. His arguament with the coloured fella who with a mate questioned his act showed what a self obsessed racist pig he was. The film was not made knowing he was gonna live to 100, he knew he was on his last legs and was gonna be a brown bread within months. Tbh i thought the film itself was poorly made. Whether you like BM or not, the idea had the potential to be very funny but it didn't hit the mark at all. Perhaps a fitting end!

Good Riddance to bad rubbish i say!

1.Should have received a knighthood a long time a go for services to charity

after all they can give to salmon pastie

2.The man was an absolute legend, and I would say more popular than most people would care to mention

3.The man did something that not many people dared to do in this day and age, speak his mind.

1. Is a fair point, Salman Rushdie getting a knighthood is madness. However in this day an honour means f*** all and can be bought.

2. I think you will find that more people would say he is NOT a legend than is!

3. Nothing wrong with speaking your mind but there are boundaries in this post-dinosaur era. BM did not move on from that. A good comedian is one that does not have to resort to insulting people to get laughs.

Answer. He was never prosecuted because our police can't be arsed in dealing with such things unless they are causing mass scale racial hatred (ie: Abu Hamza). They are also too busy putting speed camera's on the A127.

At the risk of being picky here, Salmon Rushdie was knighted for his services to literature.
Also BM could have been a racist without being prosecuted. Being a racist is not the offence, generally racist comments are prosecuted under public order offences with the racially specific ones including Inciting racial hatred and Racially aggravated assault.
Considering some of his more "offensive" comments were reported as being material from Police federation functions I think BM avoiding official censure may well say more about our police force than about the virtues of BM

Ldnfatso you have just shown how ignorant you are on matters of race, black people do not like to be called coloured and to do so they feel that you are condescending them, they want to be called black as we are called white. So get you views on race out of the 70s as well.

And for the record BM did nothing for me as a comedian, but he is from a certain age and he had his point of view and was not prepared to change it and as mentioned above he did not go around telling people to kill blacks so he had no reason to be arrested. Similar a lot of people of that age still have those views on both sides of the fence. Remember just because you are black does not mean you cannot be racist. I know many blacks who I consider racist as they do not like Asians or mixed relationships or even say that most whites they cannot stand but I am alright as I am different. This sounds so much like views expressed by white populace during the 70s. Again these views are common amongst the older black community than the younger one which I hope is getting to the point where colour does not come into their thinking. It just takes time and education to get over these obstacles before we become equal in all eyes of the society.

What an absolute load of rubbish saying the above! I happened to find BM's humour very funny in the same way as i crack up at chubby brown, unlike a lot of the useless liberal loving idiots who like to say the right thing at the right time to sound all pc, i happen to feel that if something is funny then laugh at it and to hell what people think, as long as you dont physically bully someone then whats wrong??
Oh and before all the liberals throw their handbags at me, i dated a black girl and was engaged to a half indian girl so i am far from rascist.
