Berbatov

Totenham have to get rid. Looks like united have given up, Arsenal or Liverpool wont be interested so if he wants to play he will have to take it.

From the BBC site too:

1430: The latest from Man City - and I have to say that they are fast becoming the club of the day. BBC Sport understands that a £30m bid has indeed been made for Dimitar Berbatov, while the club are in talks with Valencia's David Villa and Stuttgart's Mario Gomez.

Its amazing what a few billion dollars from an Arab family will do to a team eh?

so that could be a done deal then, with Saha going to Everton that will leave Manure short up front, unless they make a surprise move for Henry, whilst Liverpool are finalising the Rieira deal and Alonso is moving onto to Arsenal.

Which will of course leave the summer most talked aobut transfer target, Gareth Barry, staying at Villa, who splashed 10 mill on milner so surely Newcaste need to replace him.

Can Liverpool afford to sell Alonso now?

Villa's spending is now about £45 million i read. Ouch...

From Sky's website.... LOL!

14.27 Mark Hughes has confirmed to Sky Sports News that Manchester City have had a bid for Tottenham striker Dimitar Berbatov accepted, and he now hopes to meet the striker to discuss a shock move to Eastlands.

:D

.... and from the BBC website

1450: The latest Man City chat - boss Mark Hughes will discuss personal terms with Dimitar Berbatov when he has finished his round of golf. Has the world gone mad?

golf is more important than berbatov. you just have to love hughes for that!

I'd love it SO MUCH if Berbatov goes to City. Half the country will go mental with anguish; and half will laugh their heads off :D

Do it Berba!

Be a great move. City are building one hell of a squad. Great defence, strong defensive midfield, lots of creativity with Elano, Petrov and SWP. If they got Berba I would fancy them to nick 4th from the desperately average Liverpool.

Good shout CB. All i've gotta say is that if Berba goes to City/United then I'm bringing in him for Torres and dropping Delap for SWP. Fantasy football..you've gotta love it.

After this week, I'd disagree. Worst week ever for FF, and half my team limped off injured or got subbed by half time. Rubbish...

This is the thread to be in today. You can't make this stuff up! Amazing.

I'd love to see Berbatov's face right now. Well, he said he wanted a move to Manchester...

It proves that the only reason he wanted to leave Spurs was for more money, it had nothing to do with "wanting to play for United".

I actually think he may turn out to be a good signing for City, Hughes won't take any sulking.

Not signed yet Moe, just had a bid accepted. If he goes it doesn't necessarily prove he only wanted to go for the money, its transfer deadline day, he's burnt his bridges at Spurs and Man Yanited may have given up.

But that's the beauty of it all. He did seemingly want to leave Spurs purely to play Champions League football and for the stature of being at Man U, but now that Man City have matched Spurs asking price and Berba's said he wants to leave, he may well have just effectively crippled his own chances of ever playing there...

Rumour has it on SSN he is at the Manchester United training ground. Well at least he doesn't have to travel far from each club to talk who is going to pay the money grabber more money!
