We only have Brown's word for this haven't we? Bit quick to criticise one of our better players from last year, and Cresswell is the type of player who, even if he did want to leave, would still give 100% to the team and as seen so far hasn't whinged to the press about wanting out. Maybe he needs convincing, as like many fans he has little faith in Brown himself.


Having read the article it is good to hear that El Tango is adding more structure behind the scenes in terms of a new assistant and a scouting network, my worry would be can we afford it? Afterall we've only just paid off another HMRC bill.

Not sure if my club ( chesterfield ) are seriously after Cresswell. Heard a few rumours ( But pre season is all about the rumours ). Bias aside was he a good player for you last year? I know he was in the team of the year but that doesn't always mean a lot. We do need a centre half so if he really wants to come north it would seem a good fit for him and us. Whatever happens with him, good luck for next season guys. There are three automatic spots up for grabs and if we get one I wouldn't mind you getting one of the others :-)

I didnt criticise him as a player....never gave less than 100 % but I would still get the most I could for him and get someone who is able to settle in the area. Surely that would be preferable
