Battrick - Match Day 2

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Resting 10 of my 1st team in order to give them the best possible chance in Sunday's Cup game.

I'm TIE against a bot, so shouldn't really be a problem.

We can tell you that solihull municipal won the toss and elected to bat

End of Over 2: 0-0, runrate=0.00
Ewart 1-1-0-0
Hazell* 0 (6 balls)
Tau 0 (6 balls)

HKB

We can tell you that Sherwood CCC won the toss and elected to field

End of Over 5: 12-0, runrate=2.40
Fredericks 3-1-9-0
Keigher* 3 (10 balls)
Griffith 8 (20 balls)

Cheers BB. Sherwood are a bit of a 3 man team.

They have 3 amazing players who will probably completely destroy me, but here's hoping....

ps Bad toss to lose. Really wanted to bowl first at them.

I love this game!

End of Over 8: 15-3, runrate=1.88
Henderson 4-0-8-2
Askew* 9 (23 balls)
Curtis 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Botham c. Malik b. Henderson 4 (FOW: 15/3)

I wouldn't mind if one batsman consistently failed but all of them do. Every week.

Yeah, YB was my original SZ name originating from my uni days up there. I got it changed over to HKB when I moved over there, but seemed to have re-registered as YB on the switchover.

I suppose I'm living closer to Yorkshire than Hong Kong these days...

End of Over 13: 43-2, runrate=3.31
Harris 2-1-4-2
Hazell* 19 (36 balls)
Nyikadzino 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Allison c. Raziuddin b. Harris 0 (FOW: 43/2)

Fairly straight-forward as expected.

YB / HKB / Whatever your name is now

End of Over 14: 47-1, runrate=3.36
Huddlestone 2-0-12-0
Keigher* 32 (43 balls)
Canning 6 (17 balls)

Last Wicket: Griffith c. Bunn b. Fredericks 8 (FOW: 16/1)

B, that's nasty. You could end up in the same situation I was in last year, where I lost my 1st 2 games and the subsequent Morale hits just killed me.

It will probably get worse, he changed from green to dusty just before the game and his £16,000 wage spinner is now on.

End of Over 14: 35-3, runrate=2.50
Malik 2-0-10-0
Askew* 18 (43 balls)
Curtis 11 (18 balls)

Last Wicket: Botham c. Malik b. Henderson 4 (FOW: 15/3)

I am on a TIE though, I get on pretty well with the other manager and we agreed a mutual TIE. Suited me as I was going to TIE anyway!

Wooo!

End of Over 16: 40-4, runrate=2.50
Malik 3-0-11-1
Curtis* 13 (22 balls)
Cunningham 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Askew b. Malik 20 (FOW: 40/4)

Don't jest, 20 is our third highest score of the season so far I think as we've had two tiny totals to chase in the cup.

End of Over 20: 77-0, runrate=3.85
Hindle 3-0-15-0
Lamb* 47 (65 balls) ( strong / strong )
Ottley 29 (55 balls) ( comp / strong )

Still slow stuff but its better than being 100-5!!

End of Over 21: 52-5, runrate=2.48
Irving 1-0-2-1
Cunningham* 7 (17 balls)
Holsgrove 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Curtis b. Irving 18 (FOW: 52/5)

His star bowler has just come back on and that's a respectable and a mediocre at the crease. My new bowler is going to need a spectacular debut!

End of Over 22: 59-2, runrate=2.68
Ewart 6-1-18-0
Hazell* 27 (62 balls)
Nyikadzino 7 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Allison c. Raziuddin b. Harris 0 (FOW: 43/2)

V. slow going in my game, like watching paint dry.

YB

End of Over 22: 84-1, runrate=3.82
Hodges 1-0-6-0
Canning* 17 (42 balls)
Keigher 56 (67 balls)

Last Wicket: Griffith c. Bunn b. Fredericks 8 (FOW: 16/1)

My game is hardly much quicker!

I was concerned about their star bowlers so set my top 3 less attacking than normal, but they'll have their **** bowlers on at the moment and I really need to be attacking them, because I'm sure their star men will be bowling at the death.

Hundred is up and the pace is picking up too!!

End of Over 24: 103-0, runrate=4.29
Hindle 5-0-24-0
Lamb* 55 (73 balls)
Ottley 45 (72 balls)
