Leaves me with £4 million to play with on a new bowler.

What sort of level was he ??

Strong/Mediocre bowling with Proficient stamina, I wanted an extra half million as I'd like to buy that England U19 bowler on the market.

Bad luck Bucks, looks like his Wonderful quickie had a bit of a field day !

He'll go for more than 4.5m I would guess, probably nearer 5.25m

I'll be interested in this result because I've been wondering what the worst pitch for Spinners is and I was coming round to the idea of Cracked.

well it didnt seem to work to well for my seamers, as they only got two wickets..

End of Over 21: 116-2, runrate=5.52, reqrunrate=5.21 (266-2)
Fish 1-0-2-0
Sneath* 11 (13 balls)
Gadd 50 (53 balls)

however, there fightback isnt to impressive either... seems it suits the batsman... i think i will go back to my slow pitch next week

Nguyen-lee 2-0-7-2
Hutton* 4 (4 balls)
Tapp 2 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Townshend b. Nguyen-lee 27 (FOW: 101/8)

118-4. I'm making heavy weather of this.

Lamont is due back in 10 overs and I need another 40 runs.

Oh ****!

31.6 W Jeffers to Holt
Holt misses the ball completely and it hits the pads. Big appeal and he's given! It looked like it pitched outside leg but TV replays show it pitched on leg stump. Fantastic umpiring.

118-5. Holt falls for a duck.

And that's the end of the match. Napster's XI won by 240 runs.
Napster's XI 347-3
O Lucky Man Utd! 107-10

End of Over 26: 107-10, runrate=4.12
Whittingham 2-1-2-3
Tapp* 6 (7 balls)

Cracking spell by Whitters

34.5 6 Eyre to Ramsden
Oh, Ramsden hammers the ball from the hapless Eyre and it goes right over the grandstand for an amazing six!!! What a player!

Just what I needed to ease the nerves. 132-5 and only another 26 needed.

Looks like we are having very similar games YB. Should still be OK but will be sweating a tiny little bit....

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Spondon Villagers

BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field.
Pitch: Green

End of Over 31: 135-4, runrate=4.35, reqrunrate=1.58 (164-10)
Arulanandam 6-0-34-0
Middleton* 3 (10 balls)
Blake 6 (12 balls)

Last Wicket: Evelyn c. Gate b. Aldred 60 (FOW: 126/4)

Ramsden is a legend. 23* off 20 balls.

He's seen me home on countless occasions and he's only a proficient bat. Other than his good concentration, I think his experience comes into play in that situation. So my tip is get an experienced no.6 and no.7!

Nice and comfy for me in the end, collapsed to 204 but we skittled them for 50.

For Davros and BB's benefit, I played on a cracked top and Saj got the best figures (my only spinner).

Name O M R W nb wd
Horrigan 5 0 16 1 0 1
Sutherland 5 2 14 2 0 0
Sajjad 3.4 1 10 4 1 0
Botham 3 1 5 3 0 0

To be fair though he did bowl to the tail after Hot Rod, Suthers and Beefy cleared out the batsmen.

Oh c!ck, im down to my last two batsmen :(

End of Over 35: 184-4, runrate=5.26, reqrunrate=5.53 (266-2)
Fox 6-0-34-2
Fray* 17 (23 balls)
Gadd 86 (86 balls)

Last Wicket: Gerber b. Fox 0 (FOW: 152/4)

Loads of runs needed

End of Over 39: 183-2, runrate=4.69, reqrunrate=0.18 (184-10)
Aubrey 8-0-32-0
Bartlett* 105 (118 balls)
Drury 20 (29 balls)

Last Wicket: Sugden c. Hart b. Malloy 41 (FOW: 149/2)

And that's the end of the match. Southend United won by 8 wickets.
birchshire 184-10
Southend United 185-2

End of Over 40: 185-2, runrate=4.63
Hart 9-0-53-0
Drury* 21 (31 balls)

Should mean I'm still 3rd. Top man has 6 from 6 so he's up, bottom 2 have won 1 game between them so they're down. It's going to be very tight for 2nd to 6th as only 1 game seperates us all. Makes a change for me this season as for the previous 3 seasons I've known my fate before I've played a game !

Playing a game against, on paper, the best side. They're winning comfortably - pleased to restrict them to 253-3 but our batting would never be enough against a wonderful seam and spin rating.

Currently 140-9 off 38 overs. Never mind, I'm going to see if my 2 rivals are losing too once I've lost.
