Battrick Match 6 - The (Scoring) Bitch is Back

BILLERICAY BLUE

Rose Tinted Brigade Member⭐⭐🦐
Well I'm back from my hols, and it just seems so long ago that I was sunning myself in +40c temps.

I've got a team who has recently gone bot, so loooking for a win today to consolidate my top 3 spot.

2nd v 3rd. I have TIEd ahead of my cup roasting against Bulldogs so this could be a close game. Probably shouldn't TIE but I don't want to embarrass myself Sunday and sublime fitness should help!

BATTY SHRIMPERS v Spondon Villagers

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloudy and windy day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Flying Ferrets v Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI

We can tell you that Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Ashtead Hammers v Old Chelmsfordians

We can tell you that The Ashtead Hammers won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy and humid day.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Six and out Sloggers v DIBS DIPPERS

We can tell you that Six and out Sloggers won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy and humid day.

I'm up against a fed-mate, spit-fire.

Have won the toss and fielded, despite the sunshine.

And a wicket first over!

My fielding isn't so bad that the could run four!

2.2 4 Mapes to Tarr
They have decided to turn for the fourth and the non-striker has almost collapsed in exhaustion. I think he needs some more conditioning. A few too many pork pies I think.

I'll be interested in this result because I've been wondering what the worst pitch for Spinners is and I was coming round to the idea of Cracked.

I am away to 3rd place put my Captain who is now my strongest batsman in as no.1 he has always been no.5 before and not really seen much action, to see how he does currently 128-1 off 28 he is 48 off 99 balls
