Battrick - Match 5

MrB

Life President
Just remembered, Bitch is on holiday and I'm meant to be subbing!

Well we won the toss as I hoped and are fielding to save fitness for Sunday. Should be a quick match.

Now to go and shortcut the other games!

Won the toss and bowling first. Need 2 wickets early on, and all of a sudden we're into just a competent rated middle order. Up against BB's ex-player Tselane, need him out early. Conditions (humid and cloudy) and the pitch (cracked) suit this plan - just need the bowlers to do it.

Will be another tense low-scoring affair again for me today, I think. Well, my batting performance will have a low score, dont know about theirs!

End of Over 2: 5-0, runrate=2.50
Clark 1-0-2-0
Irving* 2 (4 balls)
Tselane 3 (8 balls)

End of Over 5: 12-1, runrate=2.40

Kagkwo 11 (17 balls)

Bowling first and a good start

Welcome to brfc1883 CG for the match between brfc1883 and Napster's XI.

We can tell you that brfc1883 won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there on this partially cloudy and humid day.

:D

Full delivery, slapped to deep mid wicket.

Dug in short and Sidwell top edges the hook. Back holds a simple catch at square leg.
10.4 W Tuckett to Kagkwo
Well, he tried to slog the fast bowler but it didn't pay off, and now he's back in the pavilion.

Last Wicket: Tau c. Toulson b. Job 14 (FOW: 31/2)

Playing the top team, only above me on NRR, gambled on a TIE after my GFI against YB, so my moderate TF might hurt, but I think he GFI'd in the cup too and is doing it again now. Hopefully my spinners can strangle them.

End of Over 12: 79-1, runrate=6.58
Boateng 1-0-3-0
Schoeman* 23 (17 balls)
Rosenior 36 (32 balls)

Rooney 10 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Irving lbw b. Lever 25 (FOW: 57/1

Got one wicket, now need another 2 or 3 before the 25 over mark. If they get over 200 we're buggered.

Hopefully my spinners can strangle them.
I must have missed that order setting.

Saj is doing his best to help their run rate upwards.

End of Over 14: 31-4, runrate=2.21
Sajjad 2-0-12-0
Kilkenny* 6 (5 balls)
Duce 3 (18 balls)

I must have missed that order setting.

It's just under Norton's 'play like a c*nt' setting.

End of Over 20: 108-1, runrate=5.40
Boateng 5-0-9-0
Rosenior* 53 (55 balls)
Schoeman 33 (42 balls)

Beefy's getting a rest, mediocre bowler with worthless form replaces him:

20.1 W London to Duce
The batsman goes for the reverse sweep and, my word, has he made a hash of it. The ball goes straight up in the air off a top edge and is snaffled up at silly mid on.

First ball wicket!
