Tough ties there, 'battles' don't normally have ties at the weekend, I won't get a chance to vote sadly.

Tilly v Billy

Sorry Tilly, there's only one winner here. Billy Best was the best Blues player I have ever seen. Quick, brave, superb in the air and he was only 5 foot 7. I think he was only ever booked once while at Southend, and that was mistaken identity.
I know it was only Brentwood Town, but his 5 goals in the last 20 minutes and 4 in the last 5 were unbelievable.
Also saw some of his other hat-tricks (Chester, Exeter, Aldershot, Kings Lynn spring to mind.)
There were others at Reading, Bournemouth and Peterborough where returning from a broken leg, he scored 3. then the defence let in 3, so he scored a 4th in a 4-3 win.
Brilliant player and I was devastated when he left.

Welcome to the board mate, and well said. It's well documented on here that Billy Best is my all time Blues hero, so it's good to get support from someone else from that era. I'll probably nick some of your post in making my case for him to beat Tilly.

Freddy v Stan? OMG - that is the worst possible draw.

spot on............the man who single hanedly kept us up then made the club loads of money or the man who single handedly fired us to two promotions and made the club some serious wonga.....tough
