Indeed so, not his fault. I'm talking about the danger and the threat. That we never took advantage of it is a side issue, and one we need to put right. In the brief period he was on, he added to our firepower in the box when we had the opportunity to fire in a dead ball, losing his marker time and time again. We will find his head at some stage - I'm sure of it.

Adam's lost his head? No wonder he's not starting games

"Two good deliveries first half, one a set piece, result 2 goals. Second half corners in particular were poor, including my pet hate, not clearing the first defender."

The corners were being taken by Cokes, and they were better than in recent games for sure; as was his free kick delivery for the 2nd goal; when he was subbed there was a short discussion on who to take them and Tims stepped up to the mark BUT he didn't do so well and needs to practice on the slopes there more.

Sounds a bit Sunday league to me, as we knew Cokes may not start/last. Even at my level we would practice some corners during the kick-in [different width pitches, wind etc ] Don't worry I will have words with PB when I see him:winking:

I think that Barrett coming back will be key to us going up this year imo. His experience on and off the pitch will be clear. No doubt about it! The fans love him and tbh when it comes about to the key parts of the season I wouldnt want any other person at the back alongside Thompson. That man is a legend simple as. He deserves respect.

Barrett: "The ovation I got from the fans was something special. It will live with me forever and I would like to thank them all for that.
It was quite strange but for the first time in a very long time I was nervous."

barrett will be used as a crowd booster and as an experienced set of shoulders for the youngsters like Thompson, who yesterday made some great tackles - I think everyone around the club will benefit from him being around the place from training to match day.

Barrett is here to improve us, give the whole squad an lift and have the promotion know how as we have an young side with little experience for winning promotion.

Thompson was my MOM yesterday, different class.
