Breaking News Barney injured

what happens after 60mins when Spencer is completely knackered?

I think Spencer is ideal coming from the bench at the moment

Then you bring on Freedman/Walker or switch Laurent up front and bring on whoever drops out for Spencer (probably Scannell or Moussa)

Doesn't really matter if you're 2-0 up. However coming on as a sub if we're still 0-0 or even 1-0 and making an instant impresion on the game is a lot harder to do even if he looks like he can do that (H'field)

You're probably right, however I can't see us swapping 451 to 442 each week, Tilly either needs to stick with one or the other. At the moment our players look a bit lost as to where they need to be. If we go to 442 then Spencer starting makes sense, but I think I'd like to see Tilly persevere a bit longer with 451 as it's definitely not as negative as people seem to think, in fact with both Laurent and Scannell on the pitch it's probably more positive than our 'usual' 442 formation.

Yeah maybe as long as people do get forward!

Even though it took us 90minutes plus to register an effort on target on Saturday? ;)

That's an understatement if I've ever seen one! With our next four away matches unlikely to produce more than a couple of points our home matches are essential to our comfortable survival in League One...........especially against teams like Wycombe. We can't afford ANY mistakes on Saturday and it is at least encouraging that Barney will probably figure.
There are still those on here (probably not that many now), that believe, with one or two signings and the usual bit of Tilly magic we could get close to the play-offs. Myself, I'm reconciled to one of the most uneventful (on the pitch, at least) seasons for a number of years (Perhaps we should have put a stronger side out in the Essex PC!). Consolidation in League One this season please and dreams of better things over the next couple of years.

If it is uneventful, then I'd be happy. I believe much depends on whether we can retain Barney during this transfer window and also that this is a crucial game. I was impressed with their playmaker Pitman, who came on against us as sub at their place in August. Revs of course will be fired up and it should be an interesting game. Not too interesting, I hope ...

I thought Rev's transfer hadn't gone through?
