But Beckham played for Madrid.

Yes, but he didn't play for Madrid at the same time as he scored a crucial hattrick for England in the world cup with a plaster cast on. Big, big difference.

Also does anyone else when Sergio Ramos' name is mentioned think how tempting it would be if you were standing behind him wearing studs to leave a little indent across his achilles heel?

OK, just me then.

As you were.

You are not alone there. His penalty miss in the Champions League semi against Bayern was one of my favourite moments of the sporting year so far.

Never cared for either historically but now very much prefer Madrid as they have my favourite manager managing and my favourite player in Ronaldo, a sensational player, the ultimate professional who has raised the bar of goalscoring with Messi to new levels each year. Also as DTS said the hypearound Barca was tiresome so lovely to see them knocked off their perch this year.

Barcelona are Luke Skywalker. Madrid is Darth Vader. Pure good vs evil.

Who doesn't prefer Vader?

having visited the Nou Camp twice, i would say Barca, as i love the history of the club. That said, i may change my mind if i were to visit the Bernabau i suppose!

Barcelona for me EASY. I only went and them play at the nou camp just over a month ago. Their a great family club, with an amazing stadium, very friendly fans, I love the city, visited there about 4 or 5 times. Just a great place.

Madrid even though I like many of their players I don't like their fans, plus they are kind of like chelsea where as they want the champions league so bad that they sack a manager every season or two and I just don't really like them.

Personally I don't care about either of them, although I like the way Barca play football.
