U2, but i don’t want to go to vegas
Interesting take on Axl Rose. (Spelling is important because it's an anagram of oral sex.)Guns and roses- I had tickets for the “ docklands arena” in the early nineties, both times they cancelled last minute due to axle being an arse.
In 2017 they played at Stratford and were incredible.( and on time).
Brilliant brilliant concert , rolled back the years and he could still sing unlike many 80’s icons

Guns N’ Roses review – comeback show takes us to Paradise City
You can’t blow the roof off a stadium that doesn’t have one, but they damn well triedamp.theguardian.com
Saw them at the Cliffs in 2011 - was mustard. Only complaint was no 'Leaving Me Now'.Yes, they are playing the Cliffs on 30 October!
Saw them at Knebworth in 1979, quite brilliant.Led Zeppelin. Saw them weeks after my 16th birthday at the Albert Hall. My life was never the same after that.
Ha! Can't say I'm much of a Floyd fan but i did see them play live in Montpellier in 1984 .Just a few weeks after they'd played at Espanyol's old Sarria stadium (now demolished for flats).Great show.I think I will add Dave Gilmore to my list, though I doubt he will tour again.
Just added Gilmour to mine as well. I have seen Pink Floyd, Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets and I am seeing Waters on Saturday. So it would be nice to complete the set of solo tours of living ex members of the Floyd.Saw them at Knebworth in 1979, quite brilliant.
The only two on my bucket list who I would love to see are David Gilmour and Neil Young.
Tune.Saw them at the Cliffs in 2011 - was mustard. Only complaint was no 'Leaving Me Now'.
Went to both nights when they played Wembley Arena on the 'Dr Feelgood' tour. White Lion and Skid Row supporting. Amazing shows.I would have liked to see Motley Crue in their prime.
Thanks, Ronnie - I had seen a bit of this before but not the whole lot. I'll be giving it a proper look-over soon.A mate of mine told me back in the day, he ended up at a Kursaal Flyer show by mistake, as he bumped into another mate who was going, but couldn't find anyone that wanted to see them, as they were seen as a bit of a novelty act. Anyway, my mate goes along to be nice, and didn't fancy it one bit. Then he said he couldn't believe how good they were. Great musicians, great singer with a stage presence, he said. He even ended up buying their LP called Golden Mile, another Southend reference, along with their name.
Anyway, I found this recently and quite enjoyed it. It's a documentary of them trying to make it, but a lot of fly on the wall stuff. They also survived some gigs in Scotland, Lol, as any English band not good on the night in those times, were given special treatment, usually beaten up or bottles thrown at them. So they must have been good.
I'm wondering if Rob Noxious has seen this?
Soft Cell are playing Audley End next weekend. I popped over and saw Noel Gallagher last weekend, he was supported by the Zutons and Tom Meighan (Kasabian). Oh and it was peeing down with rain!!I never saw Soft Cell in their prime and I love their music - I know they are touring again (with Peter Hook supporting in some cases) but not sure how good they would be after all these years. Numan and the Mode are still performing at a high level so maybe it will be worth a look.
His only UK tour was 65 years ago. His music is not "my era" but I understand its significance so if I could be dropped back in time for any one concert, I might choose one of these.I would have loved to have seen my hero Buddy Holly.

I recall Sparks playing twenty-five of their albums (with one album a night) on consecutive nights at a London venue in the late noughties. His only UK tour was 65 years ago. Just look at these dates and venues. 25 consecutive nights. They don't do it like this any more!
Wow. 21rather than 25 but impressive nonetheless. Great stuff.I recall Sparks playing twenty-five of their albums (with one album a night) on consecutive nights at a London venue in the late noughties.
I have seen them twiceI've always wanted to see Mike and The Mechanics live again but when they rocked up to the Cliffs recently Mike Rutherford was the only member of the group with any longevity so I passed on that. Would love to see the Stones live again.
