There's going to see Busted and there's going to 'see' Busted.

I hope someone does the latter in the very near future.

Any excuse to make it legal.
Ah, the Junior Reid / Mad Cyril local strikes again. First Sting, then Phil Collins (I think), and now Travis & Coldplay, followed by Busted...

I take it that your local is too rough an institution for its own house band, or indeed "open mic" spot. I mean, anything deemed unaccpetable would rely on a kicking for the musicians, rather than the customary desultory and disinterested ripple of applause...

I had tickets for a secret gig at the marquee once, didn't know who it was and it was THe Cult, and that was a gig lots of my mates wish they went to but didn't,...but I did!
Also Iron maiden at the Ruskin Arms, saw them twice there doing a 2secret gig" which was weird
I wish I went to see the Pistols at the 100 club but I was only 10 and my mum wouldn't let me.

SHOWING MY AGE - I DID SEE JIMMIE HENDRIX ONCE - ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT THE CLIFFS PAVILION - IT MUST HAVE BEEN AROUND 1966 - HE CLOSED THE FIRST HALF OF THE SHOW WITH DAVE DEE, DOZY,BEAKY, MICK AND TITCH AS HEADLINERS. THERE WERE ABOUT A HUNDRED PEOPLE IN THE ALL SEATER AUDIENCE AND THEY WERE GIVING AWAY FREE TICKETS FOR THE EVENING PERFORMANCE.
GOD KNOW WHAT HE MUST HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT IT.

I wish I had seen Nirvana live.

Another band I haven't seen live yet - although I went to see them only to find out they had cancelled the entire tour when I got there!?! - is an American metal band called ****ing Razors.

That's right!

Actually I don't have a local but for the sake of this particular argument I am selecting my brothers local, The victory in Ashingdon. To be honest I can't see any of the aforementioned galaxy of stars turning up for a pint and in one of the (many) fruit machines!

I had a ticket for that gig as well, can't believe I came that close to seeing them.

There's loads of bands I'd love to have seen but the main two are The Beatles (every time we went to the cinema as kids, at the old Odeon, my old man would go on about how he saw The Beatles there and they were supporting Freddie And The Dreamers) and The Jam (although rumour has it I may get the chance next summer.......).

Daisy Chainsaw used to rehearse next to us a a pokey studio in Wapping. It was run by some hippy geezer for 20 years. When he sold it he made more money on the sale so they could be converted into yuppie flats than he made in all the years he run it as a studio. Top geezer though
