It shouldn't look like Hull or Banert because this is Southend. People should look at our kits and be able to say who it is. There's nothing unique about it.

With the badge and sponsor they will

I am sure that most "naked" away kits would be hard to link to the team

Last years shirt looked like fleetwoods

Could we not have had blue and white stripes with white shorts if we had to go the striped route? This is a colour combination which has absolutely no history with us at all as far as I am aware, and while the voltage cherry did have some redeeming features in its originality, this has absolutely none at all and is surely just some appeasement to Mr Brown!

so the moaners don't want yellow/orange and black stripes because it looks like Hull or Barnet. how do you think they will react to a Col.U kit ? lol

Lol, fair point! Although it is a combination we wore in the 60s for a while.

yeah i know , i brought the top from Toffs.com a few years ago haha :) . to be fare , if i was to pick the away kit i would go for white and blue , just not stripes .

or sky blue and white !!

I like it, we had same colours last season this is just a variation on it. .... love the collar.

No colour shirt apart from blue has an association with our club. So be it cherry voltage, white, red, yellow,or now this stripey little number, there will always be people who don't like the colour/style/collar/material etc..... I could go on! myself i think its a master stroke and once kitted out with insure and go and all the other gumf will turn out to look quite classy and a shirt you could wear not just at footy. It is certainly different as was cherry voltage and look how that sold!

not had yellow on our kit this millennium and personally as a young supporter (20 yoa) its been that way for a reason . my opinion is it looks cheap and drifts away from us as a brand.

yes i know its part of our history but we also used to wear an old West Brom kit ... lol

Blue and White any day of the week , unless we are away from home  haha

Our current away kit is yellow so i don't see how its such a big deal? Its pointless having blue in an away kit when that is the home colour!

Do people really care what colour our away shirts are, or how boring the home kit is ...... Come on, whilst I appreciate the freedom of speech element of this forum - do we really need to moan about everything - it's all very tedious !!! At the end of the day - if we won promotion , everyone would buy a shirt. If we won every away game by Christmas , most kids would want the away short regardless of the style - the moaning on here is incredulous !!

Ayrshire (or whoever it was who did the predicted kit designs), would you like to do a mock up with the logos/badge on? I'm impatient

Also don't u think our away kit has something to do with sainsburys as they have orange? Don't they? Sorry I'm a tescos man
