Thanks OBL.

I don't think that it will pass my 'don't eat anything that looks like cat sick' rule.

As "to advocate" is a verb I think I'm perfectly able to advocate for something, although it is usually used with the object, strangely, if you look on dictionary.com it shows an advert advocating FOR pets. It's surely the same as standing "for" something?

Hmm.Sounds like a creeping Americanism to me.

According to Wiktionary:-

<Verb

advocate (third-person singular simple present advocates, present participle advocating, simple past and past participle advocated)

(transitive) To argue for someone else.
(transitive) To encourage support for something.

I like trees, but I do not advocate living in them<

Personally, I'm more familiar with the gerund usage above.

What is in that stuff? It looks plain wrong to me.

I'm particulary partial to a Greggs 'Mexican Bandit' baguette at the moment. Admitedly it doesn't meet the austerity criteria.

If you have ever seen the Mexican Bandit scene in the directors cut of Scum you probably wouldn't eat another.

Pre-Made sandwiches are ***** no matter where they're from, the bread always goes soggy

Far better to make it yourself or go to sandwich shop where they make it fresh.

As for filling you can't go wrong with marmite & cheese - and if you're making it yourself you can by pretty much whatever cheese you want and it'll work out cheap, stilton is my preference.
