Just over 4,500 sold for Crewe home game next week (not including away fans, Corporate, Directors, East Blues or people that jump over the wall). I suppose anything over 5,500 for this one would be a good turnout.

Walking up towards the stadium in the dark on a cold, crisp night and catching that first glimpse of the floodlights glimmering through a gap in the buildings. There's something a bit magical about it that always takes me back to being a little kid again and being brought to a game by my Dad.

I went by train yesterday, which I haven't done for donkeys years.

Walking along St Mary's Road, I realized that image of the floodlight pylon between the buildings was the one I used to see walking there years ago and as you reach Victoria Avenue and mingle in with everyone else, you knew you were there.

Used to walk up to the very top of the South Bank and clicking through the turnstiles, you looked down at the pitch with the players warming up and then across at the South Bank to see people grabbing the crush barrier spots for the best view.

Often wonder if we had been able to keep the old South Bank, we could now have a huge seated end and maybe the same by extending into the car park at the side and have an even larger main stand.

Would be a pretty impressive stadium now.

That's an interesting thought !!
