Atmosphere

I know you want BLUE VOICE in one section, but I was thinking if we had fans in each stand. Like for instance we have 1000 members, we have 500 in the main section, then 250 in each different stand, thats if the away fans have one stand of their own. That way we could have singing between fans and what an atmosphere that would be if we had three sides of the staduim singing

Yes, that is something worth considering down the line, once a very sizeable group has been formed.

decided to venture into the east stand today and was dissapointed. No singing and no atmosphere. I was a few rows in front of trueblue and joined in with the chants but when theres only about 5 people singing its not worth it, I wished i was back in the noisey west :(

Scott, i thought your performance today was superb, as said, it did liven up a pretty dull 2nd half!

I sit West Stand block V and for most games we're singing for a lot of time and it's a good position for banter with the opposition fans.

COME AND JOIN US, COME AND JOIN US, COME AND JOIN US OVER HERE! :D

O.K. chaps if we are at home in the 2nd round this is the chance for all fans to get over to the West Stand and make some noise. Leave your nice views from the South Upper, leave your 'comfy' East Stand bars & join the West Stand blocks up by the North Bank.

We were in East Stand today, good view of the pitch but crap atmosphere, we will be in the West Stand if drawn at home in 2nd round.

Yep, getting fed up with the poor atmosphere at Roots Hall. The FA cup 2nd round (if we are at home) is a chance for the Blue Action Voice Ultra's to actually get everyone that wants to sing in the same section of the ground. This will probably have to be blocks U & V of the West Stand.

Scott, that was the most entertaining thing to happen in the entire second half and prevented me and a few around me from dozing off. Great work fella !

I have had some more thoughts on the atmosphere thing. There is no way playing songs like 'I'm a believer' is going to improve the atmosphere.

The club want to improve the atmosphere, I think this can only happen if all our singers are seated together. What is needed is for a trial match that all Season Ticket holders that want to sing should be able to transfer their seat to the blocks at the far end of the West Stand. I know people like their nice views etc, but it's worth a try for a one off match. There would of course be extra work for the ticket office, but it's worth a go.

Actually that's a rubbish idea and it would only work for a cup match (hopefully the 2nd round) as people are too set in their ways at Roots Hall. I doubt more than 10 people would actually transfer their seats.

Great idea for the next home cup game, whenever that is, for the singers to come over to join us in the West. Yesterday was the day when apart from work commitments, there was the real hardcore fans in attendance. Sadly there are not enough singers in the East and South to make a "whole ground" atmosphere when we are down to 5,000 ish (Oh how nice it is to say that after the days of 2,000 in the 80's!!!). But to have all the singers in the West, quite rightly in Block U and V would improve the atmosphere, hopefully from the beginning. Good Shout (Arf Arf!)

I love cup matches ect. because i gives me the oppurtunity to come out of south lower (all i can afford) and move into V block. Always seems to be a good atmospehere.

Scott-Trueblue- Done a top job, without him the atmos. in the west would have bit a poorer.

Looking forward to the next time i get to come into the west as the guys around there are always singing. Top effort from all yesterday.

Roll on round 2.

As said above, it was brilliant in the 2nd Half yesterday!

This wouldn't have happened though for a league game I feel due to the "kid a quid day"

Top work everyone!

i had a great view of the game yesterday in the south upper but atmosphere was not good. all credit to old drummer coming again and god without him there would not have been one song but i was sooooo jealous watching the lads in the west having such a good time at such a dull game. there is no doubt if we are at home for the next round i will deffinately be in the west. and the idea of everyone making there way there would be a great thought. i really hope that everyone makes there way there and creates a great atmosphere. not just to give the players confidence but for us to enjoy the match too. when we find out in a few hours who we will be playing i bloody hope we are at home.
