Superb totally superb - well done to all of you for making last night one to remember

Yep, can't knock it at all. Loved the humour of "Sit down if you love Southend" cos no-one was standing up other than W Block! All three stands got involved and they even started some chants in other parts too, great stuff!

The team and fans rocked last night bloody superb,in the words of Bob Harris "great stuff".

Atmosphere in the West hasn't been like that since Man Utd and when we scored against Chelsea.

This is the reason I love Southend, all united together!

I ventured down to block W in the west for the first time last night - great atmosphere, well done to the TBV massive. Seemed like quite a few others were getting involved for the first time too, and there was a palpable air of optimism around the whole ground. Great stuff.

I thought the atmosphere was rubbish from the whole ground tbh :stunned:
Didnt hear the south or east once from my seat in the west W block.
Parts of V block joined in at times. The the rest of the west stand got involved was a goal celbration or clapping a player off. Perhaps all the people who wanted to sing, chant, were in the W block last night anyway - It did look pretty full.
I do question at times what the team has to do to get the whole ground joining in...

Best atmosphere and crowd there's been at Roots Hall for a very long time. It was like the Championship and good League one days. Well done to the TBV chaps, didn't stop singing all game. The Shrewsbury fans must have just been sitting in wonder. When even the East stand is singing you know the atmosphere's special. And it was great to see so many kids there enjoying it, let's hope some of the extra fans we got last night come back again soon. You could tell the players recognised it as they all came over to the West Stand at the end (it's a shame they always go to the East to celebrate though). I'm feeling very proud to be a Shrimper today.

Couldnt see others joining in or hear where i was, others around me said the same too.
I guess we were wrong.

That was just coz the "Can't hear the East Stand sing" chant wouldn't work if they were actually singing. They'd put us to shame with their Kop-esque passion if it wasn't for that song.

Girthy, that's cos of where you were, I can assure you from where I was sitting in the middle of the West that some chants were starting from the Family/South area but you lot always seemed to start just after them so didn't notice them. Definitely also heard the East chanting as well. The "We are top of the league" one definitely resonated throughout the three home stands.

I was in the south upper last night and the atmosphere was amazing in the whole ground, we were with you all singing the best i have seen this season. I was certainly proud to be a shrimper last night cheering on our team. Well done everyone and drummer... Let's keep it up !!!

Was in East Blacks and thought the atmosphere was excellent.

Can't hear much of the other ground from there, but well done to TBV in the west, coming through loud and clear!

Just wish they'd dim the bloody lights or turn them off completely in the west. They never used to be on the whole game and back in the old days when it was standing shoulder to shoulder it was always dark. I'm sure it increases the attmosphere because when the lights are up people tend to chat with the person next to them rather than join in the singing . Bloody health and safty.... they'l have lights on in the bloody cinemas next! Whats wrong with people bringing a touch if they need to get up and visit the loo.

That's pretty much 100% wrong... i sit in the east greens it is always quiet but last night we chanted and sang our own songs and joined in. Last night the W block started the tune, but the whole ground came into it and at times the 3 stands sang together and the noise was that of the good old days

good game good atmosphere

well done lads
