Its an each to their own situation. Some people see the football as a big social and seeing mates more than anything else, some (like me) are really just intent on watching the football. I am poor at multitasking and am unable to watch a game of football as well as sing, shout, arms outstretched, direct chants at the away fans. It's one or the other for me and I choose to keep my focus firmly on the football because that is what I paid for. Doesn't make me any less of a fan. I still applau and shout the odd line of encouragement or dispair. But I choose to focus on the match!

Me too.....I'll join in sometimes but there's no way I'm going to do so as much as those in the North do. I prefer to shout encouragement as and when necessary....or abuse at the officials.

For me situations dictate ... i was a right horrible **** yesterday by my own admission, the ref was appalling, his assistants only interested in our indiscretions and we were awful .. combined it was quite a sight

Its the old adage of needing a spark, i found one yesterday whereas most didnt

Everyone to his or her own....but it is always good to be a "right horrible****" every now and then.
Sometimes it just has to be!

If you didn't hear a sound out of us northern monkeys I suggest you should get some hearing aid :stunned:

I certainly heard you after you scored but not much apart from that. TBH it wasnt a great atmosphere coming from either sets of fans on the day. FWIW I think Plymouth are the best home support I have come across in this league. Made a good noise even when their team was poor and trailing two-nil.

The only Bradford fans that made any noise were at the Odsal later in the evening. Although Valley Parade was blessed with more drug dealers in its vicinity, a sight those in the away section were treated to, when looking across the pitch and just outside the ground during the first half.

Jack is right we have fans giving up inside the first 15minutes home and away at the moment and after a few wayward passes or attacks from the opposition the doubters get theri backs up and start criticising the players, criticise PS methods and are on here quick enough to shout about it.
Our remaining fixtures we need to treat each one like a cup final so lets get behind the team and give the lads the boost to produce that little bit extra on the pitch.
The drum helps week in week out and the guys do a great job, they are doing their bit to support our team and if everyone gives that little extra we will be rewarded come the end of the season!!!

A playoff final is a great proposition but sod that we need top 3, to much of a nervy 2 legs in the playoffs

You can rent a 5 bedroom house for less than I pay for my 1 bedroom flat. :stunned: Admittedly though mine is wired to the national grid and has running water

I was at both games and odsal has an awful atmosphere due to no roof, there was even less noise there until the last 5 minutes. And agree with that plymouths away fans are amazing

Jack, are you actually naive enough to think that a few extra people singing (out of our couple of hundred) would have made the slightest bit of difference to the way we performed on the pitch?

Jack is spot on! the players get a real boost from hearing the away fans out-sining the home fans.
I remember games like Oldham away (last game of the season) we were losing 1-0 and we didn't stop sining for 20 mins - we sucked in the equaliser !
