Jack The Flag

One Step Beyond ♪
Right yesterday i agree the football was absolute rubbish but jesus christ, people ask for the drum to be taken to matches, people ask for the atmosphere to be better, but people sit there and dont say anything. Even before the game yesterday even before we witnessed the crap on the pitch no one was interested in making any noise what so ever. There must of been about 10 of us singing up the back yesterday. C'mon people yesterday was a huge match and even with the drum there we was pretty much silent.

SING UP SOUTHEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:happy::happy::happy::happy:

That "display" from the players didn't deserve anything but contempt .. i may as well have stayed in bed all day, just getting up around noon to burn £100 in the garden

Jack, are you actually naive enough to think that a few extra people singing (out of our couple of hundred) would have made the slightest bit of difference to the way we performed on the pitch?

No i'm not but be nice to see abit of effort from our fans instead of sitting there looking poxy suicidal! Like i say there was no atmosphere before the game even started!

No effort??? You really are stupid? Those people who did turn up made a 380 mile round trip. The no effort came from those on the pitch. So,dont give me that no effort Bull.

Was very hard to be positive about anything yesterday Jack. I gave up trying to create any sort of atmosphere as there was just a total lack of effort on the pitch.

These players still earn a wage out on that pitch while we spend ours going to watch them. The least we expect is 100% effort!

I hate the fact we were being mugged off by ******s that come from a town worse than bloody Leytonstone

the (admittedly godawful) song "*********s a **** hole, i wanna go home" was clearly written with Bengal Bradford in mind

More than a 380 mile round trip about 240 miles ish each way. No effort came from the stands either did it? And no need for the language is their now:smile:

I agree with Jack in a way that the atmos was a bit quiet yesterday but on the otherhand is it surprising with the lack of effort and damn right hopelessness of the team on the pitch. We had nearly 500 people make an 8 hour round trip to watch what can only be described as total ****. The players should be able to play whatever and shouldnt need a few songs to think "oh i will start playing better now as the crowd are singing".

ok, 240 miles each way, thats even worse! Effort shouldnt need to come from the stands for the players to put some graft in! Language?? i couldnt give a ****!

Atmosphere at away game have been **** for the last few seasons. Quite sad really.

Which is strange as the Home support is starting to get better!

I do think even though we shouldn't have too we have a DUTY to push our team on! how many times has it been said by players that the crowd has pushed them on!

Come on people lets not throw this all away!

It might've been conducive to a better atmosphere if some people at the back hadn't resorted to shouting abuse at their fellow travelling supporters, at around the quarter of an hour mark, seemingly for not singing the same songs at the same time as them.

While I love to shout and sing at footy..that is my choice. Others get lost in the game and don't shout or sing much...that too is great.
A supporter is not a better supporter because he shouts louder.

Sometimes the only way is to stay silent.... rather than criticise the rubbish played!

I don't know about some of you but i would say the reason I like to sing at games is because I really really enjoy it! 500+ people singing the same song directed towards the team you love!

Its very similar to ye olde sea dogs chanting their way through their long journeys at sea!

I like the feeling of being AS ONE in the stands!

I love it and always will! It improves the whole experience for me!
