I think alot of people envolved would not agree with you on that
my take on it is that if people want to fight they can and most proberly will try and find a way.

Of course they 'can'.

But you originally asked how does it affect me(being the general public), well quite simply it costs me money and contribrutes to making this country even more unsafe than it already is!

lets be honest when was the last time there was a fight near Roots Hall? I dont think we really have to concern ourselves about how unsafe we are and the finanical implications around football hooligans at roots hall

Unless you haven't noticed, there has been a considerable amount more Police at games since last season. This was purely due to more trouble kicking off at Roots Hall. I think the start of it could have been the Col U pre-season friendly, but I could be wrong on that.

I got done over by 3 members of Torquay's 'Junior Gulls' last season.

Where were the police?

Nowhere.

Wasn't a Brentford fan stabbed a few years back. Hardly mass crime but still not great.

Gonna have to watch out for the Junior Gulls tomorrow (capitalise Junior and Gulls or they'll come after you. They google lowercase every night). Forgot about their hooliganism. Maybe I'll even have to cheer on Leon.
