Quote[/b] (davewebbsbrain @ Jan. 10 2007,08:06)]I played a game while on holiday in Devon in 1985 called I-Robot.

It was the most amazing game I had played in my short life and when I got home I scoured every arcade i could to play it but, alas, I was never to see it again.

Has anybody else evr heard of it?
I have played it a lot and it is supported by MAME.

The screenshot is just as i remember, you can't jump till the eye is closed...Ah memories

Have you a link to the MAME website?
MAME (Multi Arcade Machine Emulator)  is easily locatable using google.

The ROM images (games) require a little more searching.

The reason for this is that despite a lot of games being commercially unavailable they are still copyrighted.

Unless you own the original ROM (game) then (I believe) it is illegal to own (or distribute) the ROM image unless it has been placed in the public domain.

You can also download Arcade classics on Xbox Live, you have to pay a few quid for them.

I think Gauntlet is worth a few quid, legendary game.

How could I forget Operation Wolf, wasnt quite tall enough to reach the guns though so had to make do with watching my Dad play whilst he relived his days in the army

I seem to remember being in the Broker in Leigh after a heavy drinking session for the Brazil game at WC 2002 (so it was probably about 11:30am!) and they had a Galaxian game there. We lost you for about two hours!

Yep! We wandered into The Broker to watch USA v Germany and Snowy spotted said gem of a machine in the corner. We tried to teach Barris how to play but the Galaxians were quite safe ...

Pink hoods, green tops, blue trousers and red boots remind you of the KKK? Would this be the Gay Chapter I have heard so much about?

Love Galaxian but does anyone remember the cowboy shoot out game where you hid behind a cactus and tried to shoot your opponent! .....also does anyone know of a site where i can find the game that involves pushing blocks around a building and placing them in a certain order to reach the next level......? mind boggling but addictive.

Plus love airhockey although not strictly a computor game

Do you mean Boot Hill?

What a game King of the ring was, it was one of the very few games that your 10 p could last a whole hour.

Admittedly it was a tough game but i used to dance round the ring for the first 6 rounds and only start fighting with 15 secs to go in each round, as you couldn't get knocked out in the last 10 secs.

Looking back on it know it might sound boring using them tatics , but believe me i was the happiest man on earth when playing that game:)

My personal favourates will always be the likes of House of the Dead, Time Crisis (I recently played that one my own with two guns, very nice), and such. Nothing better when you're bored.
