Defender, never got to grips with the hyperjump, but loved the smart bombs.

And for a while it also took the electric lighter on the coin slot cheat, loads of credits. Great stereo sound too !

I always liked Defender and Donkey Kong what ever its names was ..... Happy days hey :-)

Galaxians top.

There was a brilliant game where a train was chuffing around track, and you had to move tiles with track on to build a circular track for it before it ran off the rails. Sounds naff but was very addictive!

ah yes, I remember it well. Many a week at Butlins was spent blistering my hand in pursuit of the elusive semi-finals.

I did use to have MAME and had said football game. Just wasnt the same playing it on keyboard though.

I remember the boxing one with your boxer in 3d graphic outline form. Right hook, right hook, right hook, uppercut. Knockout (and the knockout jingle).

Star Wars, sitting in the booth was good fun.

I could last on Space Invaders for ages and another favourite was missile command.

Galaxian was also one of the first games (I believe) to come out in a table top version for pubs and clubs.

That game is 'Tecmo World Cup' and as good as that was, I preferred the Basketball version called 'Dunk Shot'.

There is a superb boxing game that I still get MacMame out for now, and that is 'King of Boxing' (or Ring King is its other name).

A game that was frustratingly hard, or easy if you managed to get on a roll and land good shots - particularly against the evil 'Brown Pants'.

Other nominees from me are, Mat Mania/Exciting Hour (wrestling game) and Missile Command...

Lunar lander.. Galaga.. Track and Field ..
and yes Orm the boxing one was good as well .. Gllaasss JJooeee!!

I played a game while on holiday in Devon in 1985 called I-Robot.

It was the most amazing game I had played in my short life and when I got home I scoured every arcade i could to play it but, alas, I was never to see it again.

Has anybody else evr heard of it?

I have played it a lot and it is supported by MAME.
