Assuming one day be it now or hopefully in years time Tilly & Brush decide to leave we will of course need a new manager and assistant.

If Ron Martin came to you and said pick two people from the SZ community who would you go for.

Assistant - Richard Cadette - Pound for pound my best poster.

I see Matt the Shrimp as an ideal chairman. Legal background, uses long words, knows his wines. Perfect.

If we want Southend to move on we've got to get a proven name with European experience and all roads point to Xabia Shrimper on that score.

He needs a motivator with him though, someone to gee up the troops and that's got DtS written all over it.

I'd bring in Neil in the Frank Arnesen role, especially after his wise words on Tilson yesterday. You need a bit of perspective if you're playing the long game.
