Any Budding Writers Out There?

Wot ho, been a couple of weeks so a quick update.

44 stories in so far, each emotional. If we get in all who have said they'll provide a story we'll end up with 73! More realistically we could get circa 60, which in itself is far in excess of expectations - those lightweights at Chelsea (our inspiration for doing this) only managed 36. Indeed, having set the price at a tenner our publishing costs will now be higher and eat in to the monies left for our museum fundraising aims, but hey ho, it's nice in a way to be a victim of success

Billy Best continues to top the 'favourite player' charts, but what is nice is to see the huge range of players that folk hold dearest - Trevor Roberts, Ronnie Pountney, Ben Coker, John Kurila, .... the list is long

We've just had our 169th pre-publication sale, all who buy before midnight on 1 June have the option of having their name and favourite player choice in the book. A number of folk are buying for friends as presents it seems

Kev and Justin have delayed writing their Forewords until after Sunday - the other Forewords are all in.

Publication date remains August - but if MTBD is in July we'll do our best to bring that forward so we are ready for that.

Thanks to all for your support for this project - amongst all of the Wembley hubbub it has been a nice distraction and just wonderful to get the chance to read all these very varied tales of being a Shrimper
