...and another striker signs...

Agreed, carrot crunching c@nts. They really p!ssed me off when they won at the Hall near the end of the first season in Div 2, hi-jacking our 'sack the board' demo to celebrate their promotion. Might not have been so annoying if we hadn't been top on New Year's Day.....

Plus they got a dodgy set-piece which led to their winning goal, a speculative cross from Neil Thompson in the last minute!

That all orange away kit was also appropriate for the carrot crunchers!

So is the Uni Campus attached to the old College (Rope Walk) or have they built new facilities down on the waterfront?

The quality of birds was my main reason for going to college rather than doing A levels. Problem was, all the fit 18 y/o girls all had 25 y/o boyfriends when I was there! A harsh lesson, learnt early on! :(

Yep. It's all pretty ambitious. At the moment, the college (now called Suffolk New College) and uni are housed in the old college building on Rope Walk. The new start of the art uni campus will open on the waterfront in September his year. Whilst that is being built, a brand new building for the college is being built slap bang next to the current Rope Walk one (way behind schedule though). Once both projects are finished, the old college building on RW will be completely demolished. Which is fine by me because it's an abomination!

The uni plans to have 8000 students on role within 3 years. Very ambitious. It's not like other new universities, which are usually crud for the first few years. This one is joint run by Uni of East Anglia and Uni of Essex, and you get joint accreditation from those 2 for your degree. Seeing as they're both "top 30" unis, that looks good to prospective employers :)

Sorry for the off-topicness there.

I'll second that fred - fair enough the (old) thread was ok when originally posted but we know now that he doesn't want to come back so this really belongs in Ex Shrimpers now.

Eastwood is the new Kightly of Shrimperzone remember all the posts we had about him. Jesus.
