We actually played much better in the second half but it was to little to late as we just cannot score goals. If the Alti commentary can spot our floors with us, how come Kev cannot? We had a lot of the ball with the outcome of it being Zero.

Something has to change, we cannot go week after week losing games and offering very little, it is one of two reasons IMO , either the players are not good enough or the management are lacking in motivating these players and their ways of setting us up and playing are just wrong and the end product of this is we are heading down the league again. Kev has a full squad now so the excuses are running out.

Personally i think it is both, some very average players matched with some very average management.

Dire, set up wrong against a counter-attacking team, failed to make changes until too late, blunt in attack. Rinse, repeat. Ref wasn't ****.

Drop Husin. Not been playing like the player of last season, needs a break.

Move GSM forward and bring in Wind at RB. I love GSM but he is clearly more attacking than defending and we were ripped apart down our right. Reminds me of an old school Right Mid.

Another game with I think 1 shot on target was it? Against a young debutant GK. Absolutely criminal.

Another game evidencing Morton should be starting over Miley.. he just doesn’t suit the system and slows every attack down. Probably a player better in CB than CM. Same thing each week we just don’t create enough, every setup is far too defensive and defeatist.. may aswell copy and paste these posts each week now - we won’t get promoted without trying to score goals. Bin playing for clean sheets off.

We are bang in trouble. 3 points off the drop and honestly cannot see where our next goal or even positive attack comes from.

Has Kev got the stones to drop this useless system and drop some clear favourites who could run over his cat and still get a start? We'll find out next week I suppose.

Absolutely ****ing useless from start to finish. Only one to walk away with any pride is on loan from Luton and likely to go on to far better things than us.

Getting bored of writing the same stuff in here every week. The issues are clear, yet our management team seem incapable of addressing them.

Negative team selection, slow substitutions, and one shot on target. It’s not good enough and I’m tired of watching it with no lessons learned… I’d now be happy to see the back of Maher as manager, sorry he’s not up to it.

Does anyone think Jeacock is an upgrade on Collin?
Why did we change a Bonne Pepple front line that started to show some promise?
Are people worried Gus will go in January? Beyond the goal scoring purple patch I don’t see qualities that EFL teams will want.
Why no early changes when 2 0 down?

Is Oli Coker not fully fit ? I think he has played really well since his return from ankle injury, not afraid to shoot and has scored. Would have been one of the first names on the teamsheet for me.

Good points about that game......

Pepple tried hard.
Wood looked good when he came on.
The ref was good, let play flow.
Altrincham were excellent on the break.
Altrincham's defence was dominant.
Very few fouls.
The Altrincham commentators were the best I've heard on any away game.

And that's it. Lots of effort from us but hardly any result. Why are we so shy of shooting?

Poor results are often justified with “we need to start by keeping it tight at the back and building confidence”. That’s the only reason I can see why Miley started over Morton and that was ****ed early doors. No changes til it was way too late. Surely, you play players in form .. a 0-0 every week wont get us in the play offs.

We’re lucky to have a club though, folks.

3 points above the drop zone after 18 games ..something needs changing.

Based on the last few games, I'll happily see Gus go in January - Wind deserved to stay in the team.

At least we’ve got a full weak of training now to bed in the new players to our style

I love Maher and it hurts more cause it’s him but if it wasn’t someone who wasn’t connected to club we’d all want him gone time for change unfortunately or we’re bang in trouble

This season is starting to feel awful..

I'm pretty sure we have less points now than this time last season.

A season where players weren't being paid, didn't have running water, started with - 10 start and just 13 or so players.

How is this even possible?

Kev Maher is a southend legend but this can't be allowed to continue.

We barely look like scoring, always look like conceding, and only have plan A followed by more of plan A.

At what point does Kev come under fire?

We are just 3 points above the drop with FGR and two tricky away games to come.

Toothless, pointless, predictable play. I have wanted Maher to come good but it's time to get shot of him. We are too good to go down but we easily could if we continue the way we are.
