1) Canal Boating

Did this in the Norfolk Broads a few years ago and had a cracking time; pretty cheap too as most of the time you're drinking beer you've bought from the supermarket. As Alan Partridge would say, "Water way to spend a holiday"

A mate of mine told me about this place at the weekend. Said he went there a little while ago and had a great time.

I'm not aware that this thread had an "exclusivity" about it. As it goes, this is exactly where my former brother in law had his stag do, two days prior to getting married at the same venue.

And a very nice hotel it is as well. Also has a spa, golf course next door, fishng lakes and river running through and will if arranged i believe allow hunting in season on their own deer farm which also goes on the menu in the restaurant.

Big theme park and stay at a pub nearby?

I've stayed at a place (bit of a blurr!) near Alton Towers, I do remember that it was a great event though lol!

Didn't know about the hunting but wouldn't surprise me, Lord Swinton is owner of massive estates in the area and partakes of all sorts of hunting, they'd probably do grouse or pheasant too if asked, and almost definitely clay pigeon. Proper huntin', shooting' and fishin' type experience.

We were lucky enough to stay there for the whole of the wedding celebrations from the Thursday to Sunday, it was fabulous.

I did one last year, did Loughborough on the Friday, Nottingham on Sat. Reason for Loughborough is others did sport on Friday (clay pigeon/buggy racing ~£60/head) then Saturday booked a sports hall for 5-a-side (~£2/head). Also did bowling in Notts on Sat night (~£10/head) and 9hole pitch and put on Sunday (~£10/head). We were in teams and competitive streak extended into drink games etc. It's the kind of thing you could do anywhere

Yeah they do. I've organised a stag at Butlins before. In fact all their adult weekends basically are are stag and hen parties. Highly recommended.

Was going to say exactly the same.

Was there for the England Algeria game, and Butlins is always a quality weekend away.

I've heard Le Mans 24 hours, camped in the middle of the circuit is a good lads weekend, as its fundamentally an all night party. Hopefully going next year with my Fiancés brothers. (i know its not UK based, but its still closer than Blackpool!)
