almost new squad in under 2 years

Not so sure, Clarke Masters was apparently looked at by Arsenal a few years ago so could be good.
But how can he be that good if he can't displace a player like Alan Julian, who was also previously not 1st choice at Brentford & managed the princely sum of 16 appearances in 5 years at league level.

I'm not getting on his back before I've seen him but I simply cannot see any logical reasoning as to how he'll suddenly be good enough to displace either of our 2 current keepers in the squad.

well collis is better than Darryl

Except he isnt :)

Without getting into a debate about keepers I cant see us getting a new keeper and whilst both of us have shortcomings (Flavs literally) I think they are both "ok" for league one.

I think our awful away defensive record has coloured most peoples opinions of our defence and keeper, however we do actually have a reasonable home record, certainly comparable to every team around us. As Ive said elsewhere to me if we can be reasonable defensively at home we should be able to do so away and it might be our style thats causing us problems.

I dont think Flahavan will go anywhere, whether Collis wants to stay in the background for yet another season I dont know.

Cant see Gower going anywhere either.

If we were so lucky to get promoted, and Flaves is still the number 1 them im affraid its the slipery slope back down again, he isnt good enough now let alone the championship

How very perceptive

I might be wrong but I don't think Flavs is out of contract this summer. IIRC he had the longest playing contract before Bazza's recent one, I thought it went up to 2009.

Otherwise, perfectly true, and probably best in the long run. It worked well having those experienced players, but we have now been building a good squad to step up together. It just needs one or two little tweaks.

One tweak or two or a little massage would be spot on.
