Hi guys,

I've decided not to post on the site anymore due to some pretty strange goings on.

I've recieved a few personal e-mails from people on here telling me to 'f%&k off' - 'Your Australian, what the f%&k do you know you tw&t' - 'Stan is a legend, don't slag him off, just f%&k off'.
These were a little bit strange to recieve as you can imagine and to be honest i can't be bothered anymore.

I've had people mail me querying my 'commitment' as a fan, saying that i'm 'not qualified to comment' as i 'don't go to games' and i'm 'ignorant' about Stan Collymore. Another mail said the only reason i post here is to 'cause controversy'!!!!!!!
I am also a 'waste of space' too!!
I've had general hassle offline which i can't be bothered with. I'm not a sensitive bloke and i take online banter as a bit of harmless debate and fun like we all do.
Abusive mails to my home e-mail is another thing tho'

Some may say i shouldn't let others push me out.
My answer is why would i want to have online discussion with people who abuse me off line??

Despite this, all the best to you all.

I enjoyed the Shrimper pennant thing and i'm sure i'll keep in contact with a few exiles in the future.

thats a shame really. Football is a game of opinions but it is apparent that if your own opinion isnt the same as everyone elses you can be slagged off for it. Stan seems like an intelligent sort of bloke and is probably keen to to discuss differences of opinion rather than dismiss you as an idiot. I doubt very much if Stan was one of the people sending you offensive pm's.
I was going to post an item about Rons finances, but as most people on here seem to be carried away on a wave of euphoria about the new stadium, I didnt bother as I imagined it woud result in a bunch of posts slagging me off because it wouldnt be what they want to read.

I, like you Scott have my views concerning Stan the Man, his past, his present and his future, wherever that may lie, but I have refrained from airing them on here through fear of receiving the very abuse you have received. That's a cop out on my part I know and I know have every right to make my views known and have those views respected but alas, with some on here that clearly will never be the case where certain subjects are concerned.

All the best. Come back and say hi when this whole silly saga has gone the way of the Dodo, which it inevitably will.

ps. Before anyone starts I'm a great admirer and fan of Stan and everything he done for the club.

Always a shame when this happens, don't do it, people do strange things from behind a key board, and there are some unusual and fickle types on here.

Don't take any notice. Take last season, in January/December Shaun Goater was an embarassment according to many on this site, now he's considered a legend.

Stan deserves heaps of praise/acknowledgement, but the 'gushing' from grown men on here has been of the highest order.

Stick with it, many others have been driven away.

EG- we never herefrom Scriven, Terry in the West, Clubshop Steve anymore.

Scott, I understand your reasons; I too received a few abusive emails about Collymore a few weeks back when I suggested that he might not actually be the most prolific striker we've ever had. I obviously didn't realise that so many people actually consider him to be a deity and therefore beyond all criticism; it seems you've suffered the same fate. But don't let them drive you away - they'll soon head back to their bedrooms to drool over posters and masturbate frantically whilst the Collymore collection plays loudly in the corner of the room ... one day they'll discover girls ...
