Albums of 2010

Standouts for me from this year:

These New Puritans- Hidden (something from Southend worth shouting about given the dire football we've been subjected to this year)
Yeasayer- Odd Blood (Electro-pop at it's finest)
Shearwater- The Golden Archipelago
Delphic- Acolyte

That said, I usually find the real gems in the various 'Best Albums of the Year' lists doing the rounds in December so I'll probably have made a few additions to this list in 2 months time.

The 3 that stand out for me in a truly awful year for music (again) are the Corals new album, the Stornaway album and as others have posted, Delphic which is a great debut album.

In no order

Kick-*** : Music From the Motion Picture
Shearwater - The Golden Archipelago
Holy **** - Latin
Surfer Blood - Astro Coast
Belle & Sebastian - Write about love
Teeth For Sea - Your Mercury
Electric Wizard - Black Masses
Black Keys - Brothers
Arcade Fire - Suburbs
Goonies Never Say Die - No Words to Voice our Hopes and Fears

Best Album - Shearwater - The Golden Archipelago
