On the plus side, we're unbeaten in our last four games

I agree 100% . I was saying that Tilson is setting his sights too low a couple of months ago in the middle of our good run.

He has to stop this 52 points rubbish. That would be 15 points from 23 games. Even playing the way we are now, we would get that comfortably.

He should at least re-assess the target as top half, if he still doesn't want to be too optomistic. That is say 65 points. 28 from 23 games. Not a great return, but given the current form a realistic one that will give the players something to play for in the next 10-12 games.

The only time our full back(s) do get forward is when Jupp is in the side, and he along with Mitchell Cole was easily our best players. For my money Lewis Hunt gets too tight to the centre backs and does not help with our overall width on the flanks.

Che Wilson is steady and unspectacular and already has exceeded expactations with his performances this season. However he and Barrett are continuously exposed by either the through ball which splits them or the ball over the top into the gap behind them.

Tillys priority in the window must be to get another left sided defender, plus another option up front. I have said this continuously that Gray & Eastwood as a pairing do not gel well. If you work on the basis that Eastwood is our number 1, then someone is needed to bring out the best in Freddy.

That's a bit unfair on Tilly, in my opinion. He has never said that he *just* wants 52 points, he actually said that he wants to get to 52 points as soon as possible and then re-evaluate the aims for the season after that. A sensible approach, surely?

It was simply a way of calming the hysteria among some fans who thought we were world-beaters during our eight-match winning streak. The truth was that we were brilliant in patches but only in patches and ultimately we were always due to have a blip at some stage.

You can bet your life that if Tilly had raved about the performances and predicted automatic promotion during that period, some people on here would now be accusing him of complacency.
