Post match thread :Fishing::Whistling::Whistling:

Pitch forks were out for Ron when he wouldn't fork out for a hotel for trips up north...

Extremely poor to have the players take a train up, when they wouldn't even have them arriving in the area for 1:15pm at the earliest...

Hotel the night before... an earlier train and a team lunch somewhere... A coach...
Makes sense of course. But the one thing we must have learned from before is we can’t continue to burn cash. If we’re saving money on travel and expenses, we have more to invest in squad and progress.

With the week we’ve had, obviously it was going to bite us in the bum.

That said, a delay that gives the chance to bed-in our new players probably increases our chance to get the three points.

Contrary to my point about saving cash, however, perhaps it’s a really good opportunity for our new owners to show commitment or gesture to the unfortunate fans who have traveled. Would be brutal to see our hardcore fans completely out of pocket on this.

Lots of clubs at this level use the train to travel/ travel on the day of the game even longer distances…

Sustainability no doubt means doing as non-league teams do and saving the money. All be it less than ideal preparation although much quicker and more comfortable than a coach- so next best thing to going up the day before (also by train)

Nothing to see here…please move on. Helps as has been said with another week to get a couple in and more training under the belt with new signings

So unbelievably tinpot. The fact we expected the players to make that journey on the day of the game and then play is bad enough. **** poor organisation and quite embarrassing on our part.

2hr 20 minutes on train from London is probably better than a 12 hour coach trip.

Don’t know why we didn’t hire a private jet to fly to Blackpool from Southend Airport and let the fans take up the spare seats.

I can’t be the only one who doesn’t find travelling by train on the day that odd? Comfortable and only a couple of hours, sleep in your own bed the night before.

I actually think this is a blessing in disguise, get the new lads in and maybe a few new faces before we go again.

Thoughts with those who travelled however…

Certainly nothing to see for the poor fans who went.

Private jet 😂

As if we are the only team that travels to an away match on the day ? Costs for all teams travel in this league must be a consideration when planning finances for the season. Costs for hotels, transport etc must be enormous considering their income.

Except of course for FGR who go by bike and stay in a Teepee.

Seriously so many people talk out of their backside ! Train travel on the day is part of many teams approach to match day travel 'tinpot' Premier ones aswell! A lot of players would appreciate not having an overnight away and a quicker journey home, a change is as good as a rest.
