Very good signing, was gutted when he left for because I believe he wanted to be back up north.

He’s from the South East, born in Harlow, so I can’t see him wanting to go ‘back up North’. A good player, wish he had come back to us.

Not sure, he had a very good final season with us & then left but not sure he ever really reached the hieghts again after that. Seem to recall the Bury manager at the time said he regretted signing him & shipped him out on loan to Bradford at the first opportunity! All in all a decent lower league CD on his day.

Agree with this, he seemed to improve a lot with Ferdinand next to him

Whilst he did greatly improve with Ferdinand behind him, like you i don't think Anton should get all the credit. he is one of many average signings that peaked under PB....I'm sure you must agree?

I have to admit that he really is better than what we have. It would probably complement what we have and he was one player that despite any shortcomings he had would put his body on the line. He never gave less than 100% and you can't ask more than that.

Unpopular opinion, I would’ve rather have kept Thompson than White.
