A View from the Dark Side ......

Suddenly TrueBlue has become RM's right hand man then?

Its simple really, we're ****ed - the warnings have been there.

Protests? Sure... but not many would turn up - because RM has acheived what he wanted, planning permission, and no opposition through gradually inseminating your brains to a point of no bad can be done by him.

Once again i'll say this, the best thing that has happened with RM- Tilson. Without that, we could still probably be in League 2, doing **** all.

Scott, im interested when you say we are quick to turn on RM? Interesting, how quick has it been? Since the players stopped getting paid, since we went to the High Court with a winding up order against us? 5 Months, yeah that's realy quick isn't it... Just about long enough for a club to be raped and left to try and fight for it's survival in a mediocre league... before the drop into a truly abysmal league.

Why are people turning? Because RM has single handedly destroyed everything built up in the last 4-5 years by Tilson.

I reckon RM is hoping Tilson resings, because he can't sack him - that really would turn people, and i think that's all the assets RM has now - the people who still wake up licking his short arse for breakfast.

RM has now successfully halved his football expenses for 2010/2011

And reduced his income and the overall value of what he owns.

Great plan that...

Oh and why did he bother to pay over £2,000,000 in tax if he was trying to destroy the club, wouldnt administration have suited him and saved him a fortune!?

yeah but - if we were a league one club it would cost him more - there is a long thread about who he is going to dump and how much less wages are down in 2 -

he has to keep the club going - its just cheaper in lge 2 -

makes good business sense -

The money was a loan secured against RM's assets. He either has to pay it back, or forfeit the land. The plan is obviously for him to repay it from the profit of Fossets Farm, but ultimately RM is responsible for that 2.1M and it will reduce his ultimate profit, so he would as JM has said, have saved himself a couple of Mill by letting us go into administration.

I can remember when you all hounded Irate Ian off this board for such stupid posts........

and look what happened there

you can not seriously compare the two. Ian asked some bloody good questions, He explained himself but some people didn't understand his points. If you read what he wrote he knew his stuff and backed it up with logic. Rayleigh boys post is so ilogical it is untrue.
no comparison at all

having read RMs Echo interview he seems to be quite relaxed about being in league 2 -

he even goes thru the business argument regarding wages etc -

so he ruined a season - took the club down - BUT says it will work out in the end -maybe so maybe not - still he ruined this season - still took us down -

football clubs pay out all their money on wages - he knew he could halve his wage bill -
he admits it, half the posts on this board are about re-structuring the squad now we are paying Lge 2 wages - they have woken up and smelt the coffee ........

and yet some people cannot believe RM isn't weeping about it - he isn't - it makes business sense - and they want to have a go at me for pointing it out -

what can you say ? -

Paynter was sold by Tilson even tho the fans adored him ?
Mark Gower never got any abuse ?

Not wanting to state the obvious but if he wanted to halve the wage bill why couldnt he just do that in League One ?

I really dont understand this argument that you think he is now better off that we are down.

Reduced sponsorship, reduced gates and reduced income all round.Yes he saves on salaries, but he could have done that in League One.

Dont get me wrong, the financial problems caused us to be relegated and the buck stops with him, but this theory you have that it was somehow planned or he is happy about it is ridiculous.

He reduced the wage bill in League 1 as far as he could - Brush, Walker, Revell, Betsy, Barnard - even that USA keeper

then he stopped paying the wages altogether -

- his liabilities as a League 1 club paying league 1 wages were far more than his liabilities as a league 2 club -

running a football club is all about players wages -

it might seem unbelievable to supporters who hate relegation but as a business decision it makes sense .... I think Ron had done the sums on this a long time ago
