And this league is good this year?! This year may be closer but Ive not seen anyone as good as the likes of Swindon.

83 points in that year was a massive achievement, and even if the league was easier to get 20+ points more than this season was far better achievement than what we have done this year.

I don't see your point? Yeah great achievement we didn't go up. Let's celebrate getting lot of points in the end got us nothing. Never said this season was better then that season. But even the players have complemented the management staff this season, which I never saw with Sturrock. But do not get me started in a sturrock argument for everyones benefit Ha!

You are rather clueless. Making the play-offs and almost getting automatic promotion on the final day (if Crawley hadn't scored we would have gone up. We beat Macclesfield. We just had to better Crawley's result) is a great achievement, along with amassing 83 points.

Not to mention the fact that Swindon and Crawley basically bought promotion that season. Swindon even admitted as much the following year when they almost went into admin. I'm in the camp that says we were just very unlucky not to go up. Not that it matters now anyway, but there you go.

Not celebrating it, but acknowledging the achievement for what it is rather than just dismissing it because I dont like Sturrock.

I would be overjoyed with Brown managing to get us 70 points this year but its looking highly unlikely and we may even miss out on the play offs, still at least the players are complimenting Brown.

............ if only they were complementing him

Aside from the Scunthorpe 2nd half where we were very good and actually looked like winning we have been pretty dismal and boring as hell of late. Other results are pretty irrelevant unless we start winning ourselves. Has the problem been we have been in the play offs all this time therefore hasnt mattered that we havent been winning. I reckon once we go down to 8th or below we might realise and start playing again otherwise we might beat out 18 game winless run from 2006-ish if not

The last few months have been like pulling a plaster off.... very slowly. We are the wounded animal and the pack have closed in on us and are ready to fight it out for the final playoff place that a few months ago looked so nailed on. Personally I think it can't happen quick enough and perhaps then when those associated to the club see in cold hard print the fact that we could spend another season in this aulful league maybe just maybe the players will start to battle again for a final push to sneak back inwhere we belong and perhaps then enter the playoffs with a few wins under our belts.
