Ah thought it was , what tradings that about then . Yeah but they would all earn more then IT and back office though :(

Yep, skyplussed it. At first I tohught the guy was out for some publicity but by the end I am sure he was genuinely in admiration of these people. Makes you feel like you should do something similar, the help bit, not just giving money.

Yeah thats the idea. Plus Its true have worked for some people with a lot of money (about the same as the guy in the programme) They do live in totally differnet world.

Also theres nothing stoping anyone from say fore going a pint and giving the price to their favourite charity. 5 mins of your time to a neighbour or what ever ;)
 
What is to stop rich people just *giving* money to charity?

Why don't U2 just give a wad to charity rather than playing charity concerts and indirectly boosting their own bank balances due to the subsequent spike in album sales?

Perhaps they do it anyway. Not all rich people seek publicity for doing good stuff. However, if they spent time as helpers, and did get publicity, this may encourage more people to help.
