A Southend Supporters Coach on the M25

Quote[/b] (bas blue @ April 02 2006,15:12)]not criticising the trust at all, i appreciated all your efforts greatly. maybe it was a communication problem then. all we was told (by the driver) was that no back up coach would be sent untill a mechanic had been to see if he could fix it. and seeing as no one had turned up for over an hour or so we were fearing the worst.
It appears that the driver told you "his" opinion of what would happen and did not know that everyone was working on getting another coach out so that our supporters could continue on their way.

SBC leisure (the company who the original coach was contracted from) found the second vehicle - full credit to them, they did not wait for a mechanics report before looking for a replacement. I know not all coach companies would have that view.

felt sorry for the bloke really. But he definately said no replacement had been sent for. obviously unaware of the feverish efforts going on at SBC.

I think we should send 3 of our most expereinced Trust members on a 'scrap heap challenge' to build a replacement coach, so this situation never happens again
