80's casual classic trainers & threads

loved my lyle and scott and pringle sweaters.I remember getting chased at orient and couldn't run cause my tachini track pants were to long and heavy.Now have a pair of stan smiths and a stoney jacket and sweater and a few other bits and pieces that I picked up last year.what was with all those bright ski jackets in the eighties?How I loved my pepe jeans and my kicker boots
 
Seeing as I was a poor schoolkid, I had to make do with Slazenger golf jumpers rather than Lyle & Scott, frustrates me that Slazengers aren't readily available these days (even in golf shops!)

Mate if you want one I can get you it in pastel shades, there's a departement store down here called TJ Hughes that's currently packed out with V necks in yellow, pink etc pastel shades

There's a TJ Hughes here actually, never even thought they might have them - I'll check next time I'm in town, cheers mate!
 
The thing I prefer about the eighties casual scene was it evolved fast, the gear was good but not prohibitively expensive (unlike SI & CP company gear) and the clothes didn't look like a uniform, which is what the whole SI thing with the Aquascutum caps evolved into
