442 Mag

Cheers! I guess you mean the one with Messi on the front? It didnt say anything on it about the preview mag and it had top 20 english managers or something :/

The person on the front of the magazine is Arshavin.

It comes as an addition to the magazine.

You've bought the previous months one with the 20 best managers entitled, the Special Ones.

I bought it today, can't believe we are down to finish 2nd. Norwich are like 13th and Brentford 4th. Weird but then its independent and i'd take that in a flash!!!

Quite weird actually, cos a lot of us on the Hudderfield guy's thread have Norwich down as champs. What do they know that we don't?!

What do they know that we don't?!

Nothing. The overwhelming majority of journalists know nothing about life below the Championship (some might say Premiership). Heck, even the bookmakers don't know that much about it - they just tend to follow the money a little.

Come on - who, seriously, thinks we have a cat in hell's chance of finishing second?

Who thought we had a cat in hell's chance of finishing first four years ago?

League One will be tough this year, no doubt about it. But I don't think there's a single stand-out team in the division who will do what Leicester did last year. Leeds haven't spent big in a while now, have lost one of their best players and look likely to lose another this week. Charlton, Norwich and Southampton have all had high turn-overs of players this summer and it'll be asking a lot for any more than one of them to challenge for a top spot.

Of the teams who have spent money, Swindon only have one striker. And his name is Billy Paynter. Brighton will struggle again, IMO. Huddersfield could challenge but they have at least one very average centre-half and a manager who seems to have signed too many strikers. Will the likes of Jordan Rhodes or Theo Robinson be happy when they aren't playing?

We've gone backwards, but so have the likes of Oldham and Tranmere. Of the teams who have come up, only Brentford look strong but I doubt that they will do what MK Dons & Peterborough did last season.

There's a few decent sides at this level but there's also a lot of dross as usual and I don't see anyone in this league that we should be overly scared of.

I don't think we will finish 2nd :p but if we can have a settled back four and a fast left winger, there is no reason why we can challage again for the play off - I think 442 pick us to finish 2nd, because of our strong finish at the end of the season, like 13 wins from the last 20 games, which is promotion forms.

If we had the french guy and Robinson at the start of last season, and keep Kanu and Sawyer for a season, we would have gone up!

today's racing post 72 page pull out, headlines SKINT SHRIMPERS COULD SINK, last year we were 20/1 for the drop and until things picked up late leveller at orient etc we were doomed. this year we are 10/1 to be relegated, like last season we will be reliant on loans, also stated that even though last term we finished 5 points of the play offs they only envisage us taking a backward step, they also tip up colchester to beat us in a match bet all season.

Jesus christ,i thought they were a proper football mag? There's more chance of you lot finishing 2nd bottom then top.
Anyway, moving on to more interesting things like the Albion having got there cheque book out AGAIN.Highly rated Jake Wright arrives from Crawley for a six figure sum.Not to mention Dickinson who was signed for around 300k and Tunny from Stockport for 150k.We are also in the race to sign Billy Sharp.
Don't you wish you had a mega rich chairman and life long fan of the club?
Oh and Falmer is well under way.Feel free to pop along to our offical site to have a gander at what might be lol.
By the way girls we had Heath on loan last year and we didn't extend his loan deal as he was a liability.Smack of desperation by Tilly i reckon to keep the fans happy.Roll on next week.

You know what Spartan, Brighton is one team im looking out for this season. I want to embarass them just because of you, so well done.

Anyone notice how Barnard plays for Stockport according to the 442 preview? his picture was wrongly put in with them instead of us. Probably been noticed but cant be bothered to look back.
