Looking back 6 months I can't believe we're looking at Theo as a first XI player now, he looked like he was out of the door at one point.

SCP has really got him turned round & looking like a player who could score 15 goals this season in my view.

Would like to see Cox stay, then with Theo & Hopper we'd have a half decent strikeforce

If Cox re-signs then not sure we would need another striker.

I think we'd still need a target man up front, it doesn't sound like Hopper will be able to play that role - we've lost MAF and Ranger/Harrison - so effectively that's 2 out and 1 in so far. I guess it depends on CP's view of how close to first team action Wabo is to some extent, but even if he does emerge this season we still don't have a professional big bloke to play up front when necessary. Maybe there will be another youth teamer coming through like Yearwood did (perhaps Emile Acquah?), but I don't think that can be relied upon, so for me it's Cox+1 or 2 more strikers needed.

why this obsession with a big bloke up front? We'll be passing on the ground. :winking:

I think Plan A will always be to play passing football on the ground. But over the course of the season you come up against different teams with different styles and sometimes plan A won’t be working. We defo need a big target man to make the ball stick up front in certain games IMO.

Is this something you have heard Bess?
no but it could mean the next player that turns us down for another lge 1 mid table side, Bradley(Luton) Taylor (rovers) maybe, I’d love vassell I think he would be a great signing and when our targets were named he’s the only one left to get or not to get? Other than Hyam

We’ll never get all our targets, not even moneybags Man City manage that. We’ve signed up the first teamers we really wanted with the exception of Cox (who may yet sign). We’ve secured three first choice targets, missed out on one who went for coinage that we probably would not match and are still the mix for Taylor and Vassell. IMO we’ve had a good close season so far.

stil in the mix for Taylor?

Lyle Taylor. He hasn’t signed for anyone yet. All we’ve seen is one dodgy tweet from Christ knows who that’s probably right up there with the lemon who tweeted that Lennon was about to sign for Wimbledon the day before he joined us.
