Loans in League Two would be great for them both if we could get some interest from clubs that would actually play them

Wabo couldn’t even start for Ebbsfleet on loan last season. Why would a league two club give him a chance to start? We should be looking to get him to someone like Braintree Town and starting there.

I still feel that CP has been underwhelming in the transfer market, but I have caveat-ed that by also stating that if he brings a better player out of the signings he's made, then it may work out just fine.

At the end of last season I said didn't think we'll see any 'wow' signings and we haven't, with the exception of Hyam maybe.

I see this as CP's policy, which is a valuable trait for the club - to have a manager that wants to make a player an asset rather than sign an asset. At the end of the season wherever we may finish I'm sure there will be a few saying 'What a signing he turned out to me!' for at least one player.

I spoke to a couple of their fans, and have shared this a few times. They said right from the start McMahon wouldn't change their system [too stubborn to] and they were right. At the time, they were 8 or 9 games unbeaten too, why would make changes at they point? Halfway through his loan the fans wanted him to start and felt he deserved to but it's down to McMahon.

With Mc Coulsky coming in dropping Ba and Wabo to 5 and 6 in the pecking order, its time to circulate their names as available for loans , along with a few others., They can always be recalled if necessary
I agree. If they are too good for the U23s but not good enough even for the bench, then they need to get a chance to develop elsewhere. Must be very frustrating for Ba, who seemed tantalisingly close to getting a chance this season, now slipping down the pecking order again.

Back desperately needs a loan spell. We have no idea how good he is.

Today's Echo says there's a chance that one player may come in (a defender) and someone may leave so who knows.

That sounds like Anton out on loan and a replacement in who has a chance of game time. That would be an excellent result for all concerned if it happens

The Times article referenced above makes very interesting reading and probably explains in part why a significant number of loans are across League one , two or from the Championship.
However there has been an exceptional number of loans this year currently standing at 72 !!
Burton alone snapped up 3 yesterday and 18 clubs have pulled off more loan deals than us. Some seem to be basing their Business Plan around it? 8 clubs have gone for four or more, but top big loaners are Scunthorpe 5, Fleetwood 5 and Oxford 5. Blackpool, Shrewsbury, Afc Wombles, Accrington and Wycombe have all brought in 4 loanees

Not against loans entirely but certainly not 5 for example. Yes Shrewsbury had a good season from the loan system but May well pay the price this term.

When Dru comes back and finally gets his first goal won’t we be miles more delighted than if he were from Spurs academy.

One thing I have been convinced since that idiot Ranger departed was we need a proper number, good in the air, 9. Theo would profit the most from such a player and you need at times direct goals....look at Swindon at home 1-1 a couple of years ago as an example.

A specialist like that doesn’t come cheap so the best way would be a loan. Even then as CP find out with that lad from Stoke, it’s not that easy.

There are rumours on our site (Bristol City) that you are getting our defender Taylor Moore on loan. He can play CB or RB and is a former England U20s captain. He spent last season on loan at Cheltenham.

We have high hopes for him as he cost over £1M from Lens in France
