2017 Ashes

We are currently in the 62nd over and so far Ali has bowled 8 overs and our two main strike bowlers have bowled over half the overs. There can only be two reasons for this, he is either injured and therefore shouldn't be out there or the captain has no confidence in his bowling.
Anderson and Broad will be knackered by Melbourne at this rate.

Hold on a moment there 'shrimpers'

Overton's just got Steve Smith out!

C'mon England!

Managed to watch quite a bit of the play today, we had them on the rack a bit after Smith got out should really be in a better position but a good first session tomorrow and its game on.

Australia are well set to make 350+, a score our batting line-up will struggle to get anywhere near "under the lights". We needed to come to the party at Adelaide and I don't feel we have and as a result we're already chasing the game.

Need to spark a collapse to less than 300, the plus is that Smith is out, but the Aussie tail wags more than ours so they are very much in the driving seat!

Game currently slipping away, as you suggested 'superblue'

When you win the toss and put the opposition into bat you don't expect them to declare! Hope Root has broad shoulders as he's going to need them from now on in. If England think they've had a tough time since they've been out in Australia, they ain't seen nothing yet. The aussie media will be smelling blood and will go for young Joe's jugular.

This game ain't over yet, stick with it, COYE

Totally agree Irenbird, if and It's a big IF the last two can save the follow on, it will dent Aussie confidence, other side of the coin if we are asked to bat, the top order have seen how to defend the bouncers and against Non batsmen and only play the ball that needs hitting

Easy to say if the heat of the Ashes, but can be done, I still believe we can save the test match and go to the next game with our tails up

My advice to the England team would be to get their arses to the nearest airport and board a flight back home. The deafening sound of a nation laughing might start to subside somewhere over the Middle East.

Stokes must be thanking his lucky stars that he is not involved in this shambles.

5-0 with ease.

What's wrong with your optimism folks? We have every chance of retaining the urn here, can't understand the doubts. COYE

I see on the news, that no charges will be bought to Hales after that fight, but he may well be still called upon as a witness to the "incident".

He is now officially available for selection, but most likely won't be called up for the Ashes, but could be included in the ODI & T20 matches against them in the new year.

5-0. No chance of winning this test. They are already 260 odd infront and our batting has offered nothing to inspire any victory
