Looks as though Ben could be off, if the bid is acceptable. I cannot imagine Reading bidding again unless he was interested in the move.

Jesus, are we really comparing Jonathan Kimbabu as a reliable source? The guy is either a member of SZ or a kid trying to act like a journalist/agent. He steals all his 'exclusives' off of Chris Phillips or stuff that gets mentioned on here from people who actually have people in the know. Then when the 'exclusives' he posts go through he claims he was the first to mention it.

He took great pleasure in giving CP abuse over being 2nd to announce signings when it was not the case. And if you challenge anything he says and call him fake then he blocks you and claims you've been racist towards him.

Also some of the rumours he takes off other sites and places like Sky Sports News/ Newspapers etc.

According to Chris Phillips we gain financially if Isaac Hayden moves to Newcastle. The Chelmsford born lad did very well on loan to Hull last year from Arsenal, and it is reported he is having a medical this weekend , with a view to a 5 year deal. Hayden is only 21 years old, but was snapped up by the Gunners after 4 years with us. May be worth keeping a look out for the transfer fee if this goes ahead, Phillips seems confident we have a clause for payback

Yep, and well done to Ron Martin for insisting on a sizeable sell on clause to benefit Southend on all youth transfers.

Agree- there seems to be standard of 20% (?)- I think there are guidelines somewhere. Be good to know. Its 20% with Iorfa isn't it?

I think this does show why RM/PB are so keen to develop the academy to the highest status possible (the dome!!). Not only will it attract better talent over time it can build an attractive revenue stream for the club.
