20:20 World Cup

Good entertainment for the first match, but a WIndies fielding & bowling performance which was pitiful in the extreme.

For winners I can't see beyond the convicts adding this to their World Cup & also the being the best Test match side.

it just finished with the south africans winning, west indies completely shot themselves in the foot with very poor fielding. great entertainment though with plenty of 6's.

different story today though after last nights great game. today its new zealand v keyna. at one point keyna were 0-3. currently 37-5 with 9 overs gone. new zealand are walking to victory.

New Zealand thrashed Kenya.

New Zealand 74-1 (7.4 overs) beat Kenya 73 (16.5 overs) by nine wickets.

BTW why aint Ireland in the competition?

Come on Scotland! Pakistan are 151/7... quite a lot of runs, but perhaps a gettable scoreline in the context of this tournament...?

Its a gettable score, but not by Scotland.

It won't be quite as good a batting pitch as Jo'burg plus Durban is a port and so will be presumably at sea-level. The ball seems to go a lot further in the air at altitude.

Sadly true... 120 all out. Oh well, here's hoping the Scots fare better in Paris this evening (although I don't buy Domenech's comments that the Scots are favourites...)
