Know the family personally and have just spoken with Christine (his wife) on the phone. Csboy is correct in saying that Paul doesn't want any fuss. However Christine would really love it to be marked by the Club and Echo.

She has asked me to speak with him this evening, when he is home from work, to try and get him to 'go public'!

Will try my best and let you know the outcome.

Will try again tomorrow. But aware that we are running out of time if* Gillingham is to be taken as Paul's 1000th home match without a break.

Interesting to see Herman's travel partner for some years - Trainspotter (David Hancock). Such a shame politics bled his love of the club. Spotter was another great supporter.

The photos of the Italian trip are very similar to footage from a VHS I got about 10 years back - I dont recognise any of the people involved on the video - but the footage (training/match footage is amazing)

Thanks for all the positive support I needed that after 999 home games. Might see you tomorrow - it's not all doom and gloom following the Blues their might be low times but the good times make it extra special. C'MON YOU SHRIMPERS !

Peter Holmes has been kind enough to offer a slot on his BBC Essex Show tomorrow morning.

Those who know Peter will know he is a big Blues Fan and regular attendee at the Hall.
