    NSFW Tram Woman Rant

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8IlOBKaeTI I'm sure everyone has seen this by now - what do you make of it? Is this where it's heading in England or is she a one off? Whatever you think of the gist of her rant, it's the kid that breaks my heart. What hope does he have in his life with that...

    Eire rant

Just read in the paper that the BBC to save money are not going to send out their pundits to the European Championships unless England or Eire get to the quarter finals. Eire!!!!!!!!!?????? why the hell do they think that the whole country cares about the paddies let alone spend my licence...

    Sturrock the tactical genius

I turned up at Underhill last nite with a nervous gut feeling. Why, well because ive supported Blues for 32 years and we have turned up at the likes of Barnet before expecting to win and failed to deliver. In saying that i always felt that the three points would be ours. Much like last season...

    Beer rant ....

Firstly it was great to see so many at the hall saturday and long may that continue. My issues are these: A) Why is that every week we ask for common sense in opening the west stand bar early (ie) before half time and we are told its not do-able, yet we get a big gate and all of a sudden its...
  7. Female songwriters

As their is not a single lady entrant in the latest Battle of, I've been wondering why that is? There's some great female songwriters out there - Carole King, Patti Smith, Bjork, Tori Amos for example, but not a single one made the 32. Are we all sexist pigs?

    Pre-Match Thread Southend v Shrewsbury

Nice and early as there is a bit of a buzz around at last! Just a quick reminder: This match is part of The Sun TWO Adult tickets for £9.50 promotion that they ran in the summer. For those of you that kept the form, just fill it in, attach the four tokens and take it down to the ticket office...

PL Cup The SZ PL Christmas Cup 2011

Regular players will be familiar with this little sideline, but for the forgetful (:harry:) and the newbies ... As players you do nothing different, each week H will slap the fixtures up (maybe even the full compliment of 6 even !!!) and you predict as ever you would, i'll wander along over the...
  10. Was Bilel offside?

Now I have seen it live yesterday I have watched it on TV three times and in my veiw the ball camr off there keeper billy had a defender in line with him .He reacted quickest and in my view the goal was good .But what do you think .And it was stated the he ran staight from the pitch after the...

    TV Highlights Accy v Southend

Accy v Southend 1hr 3 mins in. I wasn't there, but from the highlights: Great goal by Hall, the way he struck it made it look like it would clear the stands but it dipped superbly. Sawyer's run was breathtaking. He made the player look a right mug when he pushed the ball one side of him and...

    Deadpool 2010 results - finally

Finally decided to tally this up myself, so please check your own and let me know if I've made any glaring errors. We had 44 entrants. I'll start by listing all those with 0 points, then 1 point and so on... Original thread for checking results 0 points: East stand blue LDNFATSO Moody blues...
  13. Joey Barton

What does everyone think of Barton being allowed to go on a free? Personally I hope he doesn't find another club. He is a TERRIBLE role model and is very arrogant with his twitter rantings, some saying how he is the best English midfielder. I would choose Wilshere, Lampard or Gerrard anyday...

Great Wakering Rovers 0, Southend United 5

ROHAN Ricketts ran Great Wakering Rovers ragged at Burroughs Park tonight to inspire Southend United to a 5-0 victory. More...
  15. Impact of new airport on SUFC

I'm going to try again with this post as the first one got deleted by mods... I'm reposting as genuinely believe amonst the numerous rumour/battle of ect ect threads there's room for a bit of intelligent discussion!! Yesterdays London Evening Standard ran a front page article on the...

Your favourite time we beat Orient?

For me nothing can touch the Ben Abbey day. Went into the game feeling fairly sure we wouldnt get anything and Abbey ripped them apart. It marginally beats the Neil Campbell one good game of his life when Ars Luner and Lee Hodges ran them ragged. Anyone else got a fav?
  17. RIP Alan Bushell (one of the brothers Grimm)

Read in the Standard Recorder today that Alan Bushell had recently suddenly passed away. He was the bigger one of the 2 brothers who ran the coaches to away games in the 60's and 70's. Had'nt seen him at Roots Hall for years, although i saw his brother Peter at several games a few years back...

Breaking News Sainsburys article found in Property Week

Found this article this morning, might finally be getting some progress on FF. Sainsbury’s has long been a friend of League Two football club Southend United. The supermarket is hoping to take over its stadium at Roots Hall for redevelopment as a store. What could go wrong for the Shrimpers...

The A13 from Tarpots to Kiln Road

Blimey, I'm on a roll with rants atm! Anyone been up or down Bread and Cheese in the last few days? What a joke! There's bits of bus lanes being put in on different sides of the road, so there's a bus lane going west, down the hill but at the lights there's a bus lane on the Southend bound side...
  20. Memory Lane Sam McCrory .....

...... has passed away at the age of 86. A legendary (in the proper sense of the word) striker from the 50s who, after retiring, ran a pub in Donaghadee, County Down, which was opened by George Best in 1969. RIP (I'm sure there'll be a little tribute on the official site sometime soon.)
