How bloody ironic would it be...

if we make the play offs (as do Oxford) and we meet them in the final. We have beaten them on aggregate 5-0 this season. You just know they will win at bloody Wembley.

Post-Match Thread and Ratings Southend United 3-0 Oxford United

Please post all discussion, reports and ratings here. What a cracking game, Loza was sensational. Let's hope he is our silver lining and pushes us on this much needed run of good results.

Official Match Thread Southend United vs Oxford United

Team line ups to follow. Can we perform in front of Sky and will the new manager hoodoo hit us?
  4. DantheFan

    Would you start Loza?

Is it time to try something different for the Oxford game?
  5. Bet with C C Csiders

It looks likely that I will have to pay up, but it is a damned close run thing. Unless we beat Oxford on Monday night, we will have fewer points than this time last season, and if we lose to Oxford and Daggers beat Accrington, then our hold on 9th place will only be by virtue of a marginal Goal...

    Promotion Chances

Obviously the aim now is to gain a spot in the play-offs, but considering current form and the fact that we are yet to play the likes of Oxford, Fleetwood and Burton, is there still a chance? Plus, even if we were to make the play-offs, would we be able to beat the likely other play-off...
  7. Pre-Match Thread Southend Utd v Oxford Utd

A quick fire pre-match thread so soon after a match as obviously the yellows come to town on Monday Night. I have read that their Chairman has said their new manager will be in place for this match so we need to be aware they may well be geared up for this one. not to mention their 3 points...
  8. Oxford tickets

Have received an e-mail from the club signed by Phil Brown offering ticket for £10 for Mondays game. Does this mean ticket sales are down as match on Sky? Anyone else received this - not addressed to me personally - but Dear Fan.
  9. A very slight dose of reality - If i've done my maths right!

With York surprisingly now level on points with us, in 7th with a +8 goal difference compared to their +6, anything less than a win against Bristol Rovers on Friday (and hoping York lose against Pompey at Fratton Park on saturday) would be a disaster. This winless run needs to come to an end...
  10. Tilly to Oxford?

Tilly is 40/1 to take over at Oxford...competing with Martin Allen (25/1), Aidy Boothroyd (25/1), Robbie Fowler (12/1) & Paul Simpson (6/1) among others obviously... http://www.thesackrace.com/teams/oxford-united

    League 2 latest score .... 1/2/2014

Is Roots Hall a "community asset"?

Just seen a piece on the Daily Politics which referred to Oxford supporters having got the Kassam stadium listed as a "community asset." Apparenty this has also been used by CAMRA to stop local pubs being closed and then sold on for housing etc. Given that FF seems ever less likely to actually...

    Ted Smith

According to the woman who runs my son's breakfast club Ted Smith has been called up to an England U18 training squad. Apparently of the 2 goalkeepers who made the last squad the one from Man City has been dropped, and Ted Smith has been kept on. Before you all laugh, this lady has a son who...

  19. Good Feeling!

Having won 5 games in a row, we've shown the league that we're not a team to be taken lightly, which most assume we are, having seen the media's pre-season league predictions. i personally think we have cemented ourselves as a top 7 side, which, with the quality we have in the squad should be...
