Callum Davenport Stabbed (and now charged)

West Ham's 26 year old centre back was stabbed at his home last night, as was his mum. Her condition is apparently stable, but Calum's is descibed as serious. He was stabbed in the legs aswell, which indicates a planned and calculated attack IMO.

Films they should have made a sequel to...

I watched 'Cloverfield' again the other day. Spectacular bit of film IMO. The sequel is in the pipeline and i'm proper looking forward to it. This made me start thinking about films that should have had a sequel. Obviously everyone knows the dangers of ruining the franchise with a sequel, but...

    Ghosts

I have always been very skeptical about spirits/ghosts etc. But last night I was up North and went to a Church which is abandoned and apparently haunted. Now joking around we all went to have a look around the church. I took a picture of two of the girls we were with and thought nothing of...

    My Monday Morning Thoughts

Dont worry, this wont be a weekly thing! I must admit, i have been a bit of a pessimistic so-and-so over the past month, but personally i think i've been granted in my opinion. I caught a fair few of the friendly matches so wasn't coming into the opening game with a blinkered view. I started a...

    Queen live at Wembley

Is this the best concert ever? IMHO it is the ****ing bollocks. Even though i wasn't born when it happened (born 3 months later) i've watched it religiously aboubt 60 times. It simply MUST be the best concert of all time. No band could ever come close IMO. Freddy was and is probably THE best...

    Our squad

One thing the Ipswich game pointed out to me was the lack of physical strength in our side. Apart from Laurant (who i thought was easily mom) jfc and perhaps Revell (tall but not strong imo) and Francis all our players seemed to be midgets or very lightweight in comparrison to Ipswich who's...
  8. Do you wish the sheikhs had visited our pier rather than Nottingham City Centre?

With all this business of Notts County being taken over by a Middle East consortium and Sven being appointed as their director of football, while we apparently can't afford to pay massive transfer fees and according to some on here are in debt up to our eyeballs, it got me thinking how I would...

    TV Tip for tonight

Great looking drama starting tonight on BBC 1 at 9pm. The Street (1/6) is a gritty drama from Jimmy McGovern staring Bob Hoskins, Timothy Spall, Frances Barber and Liam Cunningham. Hoskinks play a landlord who makes an enemy of a gangster after he chucks him out of the pub and bans for...
  10. Mr Chris Phillips and SUFC

Now, before today i thought give him the benefit of the doubt, is he just an excited writer blah blah blah. But after reading todays echo i think the bloke is just really trying to stir the **** up between club and supporters. Most of you who have read his article will understand this point of...

    Predictions on the season ahead?

whats everyones predictions. personally think we will maybe get two players in before the season starts but still think we over-acheived last season with the squad we have. if i was offered mid-table now i would take it straight away. i think we will end up in the bottom half of the table...
  12. Meet the blues update

Pretty poor really, meet tilly at 10 and meet players from 12 noon, whilst you are waiting bounce on a bouncy castle and have your face painted. None of the usual stuff then watching players training session then watch a charity game etc. Not sure the youth tournament is that exicting to...

    The Ashes Thread

Three days to go before the main event of the summer starts in of all places Cardiff. No surprises in the 13 that England have named here. IMO Harmison should be in the squad. The question is can England win back the urn?

    Trialists

We currently have two trialists at the club, lets just say tilly likes the look of them and signs the pair of em, that would be left back and centre back sorted just a winger away from a decent squad IMO, you see the glass can be half full too peeps
  15. Are loanees better

With the limited amount of cash we seem to have to spend,i struggle to see how S Tilson can bring any real quality to Roots Hall at all. Of course he might find someone half decent in lower divs, thats seems to have been overlooked by every other lower league manager, but extremely unlikely. So...

    Question Moussa LW or CM?

According to the OS, Tilly isn't sure what to do with him. He doesn't know whether to keep him on the LW or push him back to CM. Clearly not a winger, and doesn't have the same impact playing out wide IMO. The midfield would probably benefit having Moussa playing CM and trying to adopt the...

Have you ever seen a white toilet attendent ??

Well have you , i certainly haven't , its a bit like white dog **** , you don't see many of them around either ?? Come to think of it why do these clubs let these fella's in there , its just glorified poncing IMO , thanks for the spray of your jekyll armani aftershave , and for the lollipop...

SZ's Southend United Hall of Fame - Spencer Prior

Four places (I think) left to fill and next up is Spencer Prior, albeit a day late in Ron Martin style. -------------------------------------------------- Separated by over a decade, Spencer Prior had two very different careers with Southend. Either would be sufficient to get him in the Hall of...

Nadal out of the French Open

Unbelievable Jeff! Amazing match, Nadal below par but Soderling played some immense stuff. I must add, the commentators were really getting on my tits towards the end of the match. They kept saying things like "not taking anything away from Soderling but Nadal is way below par today". I...
